Der in 1999 eingeweihte Planetenwanderweg war zu dieser Zeit in Deutschland einmalig. Bis heute begeistert die Verbindung von Wandern mit dem Erleben des Sternenhimmels Schüler und Wanderer. Der Wanderweg beginnt oberhalb des Busparkplatzes an der Johannes-Kepler-Schule. Von dort aus verläuft der Weg bis nach Kalbach-Eichenried. Auf den 11 Informationstafeln wird viel Wissenswertes zu Sonne, Mond, Planeten und Kometen allen Interessierten erläutert. Die Tafeln entlang der Strecke wurden an den PUnkten platziert, welche den Maßstag unseres Sonnensystems in 1: 1 Milliarde widerspiegeln. Die neugestalteten Informationstafeln zeigen beeindruckenden Fotografien und Grafiken zu unseren Planeten. Die Texte erläutern zahlreiche Details zu unserem Sonnensystem.  Wer also an einem schönen Tag in der Rhön noch nichts vor hat, kann auf dem Planetenwanderweg zwischen Neuhof und Kalbach gleich zwei Ziele erreichen: Information zu unserem Sternenhimmel und ein Wandererlebnis in der Rhöner Natur!

Inauguré en 1999, le sentier planétaire était unique en Allemagne à cette époque. Jusqu'à aujourd'hui, la combinaison de la randonnée avec l'observation du ciel étoilé fascine élèves et randonneurs. Le sentier commence au-dessus du parking pour bus à l'école Johannes-Kepler. À partir de là, il se prolonge jusqu'à Kalbach-Eichenried. Sur les 11 panneaux d'information, de nombreuses connaissances sur le soleil, la lune, les planètes et les comètes sont expliquées à tous les intéressés. Les panneaux le long du parcours sont placés aux points qui représentent l'échelle de notre système solaire à 1:1 milliard. Les panneaux d'information repensés présentent des photographies et graphiques impressionnants de nos planètes. Les textes expliquent de nombreux détails sur notre système solaire.  Donc, si un beau jour dans le Rhön vous n'avez rien de prévu, vous pouvez atteindre deux objectifs sur le sentier planétaire entre Neuhof et Kalbach : des informations sur notre ciel étoilé et une expérience de randonnée dans la nature du Rhön !

The planet hiking trail inaugurated in 1999 was unique in Germany at that time. To this day, the combination of hiking with experiencing the starry sky delights students and hikers. The hiking trail starts above the bus parking lot at the Johannes Kepler School. From there, the path runs to Kalbach-Eichenried. On the 11 information panels, much interesting information about the sun, moon, planets, and comets is explained to all interested parties. The panels along the route were placed at points that reflect the scale of our solar system at 1:1 billion. The newly designed information panels show impressive photographs and graphics of our planets. The texts explain numerous details about our solar system.  So anyone who has nothing planned on a nice day in the Rhön can reach two goals on the planet hiking trail between Neuhof and Kalbach: information about our starry sky and a hiking experience in the Rhön nature!
