Avec cette randonnée circulaire – au début avec une montée modérée, puis généralement plate – partant du centre de la station thermale, vous vous dirigez vers la partie nord du réseau de sentiers en anneau de Bad Elster. La majeure partie du parcours suit le sentier panoramique Vogtland. Attendez-vous surtout à une vue impressionnante sur Bad Elster lors du retour. Divers sentiers Kirchsteige ont été conservés autour de Bad Elster. Ces chemins étaient utilisés par les habitants des villages paroissiaux environnants Arnsgrün, Raun ou Mühlhausen pour se rendre à la messe. Par le sentier Arnsgrüner Kirchsteig, vous accédez à la vallée Zeidelweide. Cette ancienne vallée de pâturage forestier servait autrefois de pâturage aux abeilles (Zeidel = abeille). With this circular hike - initially with a moderate ascent, but then mostly level - starting from the spa town center, you head into the northern area of the ring path network of Bad Elster. Most of the route runs on the Vogtland Panorama Path. Look forward especially to the impressive beautiful view of Bad Elster on the way back. Various Kirchsteige have been preserved around Bad Elster. These paths were used by residents of the surrounding parishes Arnsgrün, Raun or Mühlhausen for church attendance. Via the Arnsgrüner Kirchsteig you reach the Zeidelweidetal. This old forest pasture valley was formerly used as bee pasture (Zeidel=bee). The peat-rich dry grass meadows along the educational trail in this nature reserve impress with many protected plants. At the end of the valley awaits the Old Schloss Schönfeld. Admittedly, one might expect a ruin, but discover for yourself on site what really lies behind it.

Mit dieser Rundwanderung  - bei anfangs moderatem Anstieg, dann aber meist eben - ausgehend vom Zentrum des Heilbades, begeben Sie sich in den nördlichen Bereich des Ringwegenetzes von Bad Elsters. Einer Großteil der Strecke verläuft auf dem Vogtland Panorama Weg. Freuen Sie sich vor allem auf dem Rückweg auf einen beeindruckend schönen Bad Elster-Blick. Verschiedene Kirchsteige haben sich um Bad Elster erhalten. Diese Wege wurden von den Bewohnern der umliegenden eingepfarrten Dörfer Arnsgrün, Raun oder Mühlhausen für den Kirchgang genutzt. Über den Arnsgrüner Kirchsteig gelangen Sie ins Zeidelweidetal. Dieses alte Waldweidetal diente früher als Bienenweide (Zeidel=Biene). Die anmoorigen Magerrasenwiesen entlang des Lehrpfades in diesem Naturschutzgebiet beeindrucken mit vielen geschützten Pflanzen. Am Ende des Tales wartet das Alte Schloss Schönfeld auf Sie. Zugegeben, man könnte eine Ruine erwarten, aber entdecken Sie selbst vor Ort, was sich wirklich dahinter verbirgt.

Vorbei an der Schindeleiche, einer Roteiche, die zur Ehren des Garteninspektors Paul Schindel 1924, drei Jahre nach seinem Tod, in diesem von ihm angelegten Park gepflanzt wurde, erreichen Sie nach dem Überqueren der Beuthstraße den Forellenteich, der das Ende des Parks markiert.</p> <p>Unmittelbar am Teich wechselt der VPW auf den <strong>Kirchbergweg</strong> (grünes Quadrat) und schlängelt sich vorbei an der Antonienhütte in Serpentinen den Kirchberg (569m) hinauf.  Folgen Sie diesem nur kurz, bis zu einem rechts am Weg stehenden Haus. Geradeaus erreichen sie nach wenigen Metern den rechts vom Tal heraufkommenden <strong>Arnsgrüner Kirchsteig</strong> (grünes X), auf welchen Sie nun links abbiegend wechseln - ebenso wie der VPW. Den kommenden Wegabschnitt werden Sie dann auch auf dem Rückweg passieren. Freuen Sie sich also schon auf den wunderschönen Blick auf Bad Elster, der Sie später noch einmal erwartet.</p> <p>Der Arnsgrüner Kirchsteig bringt sie zunächst über einen moderaten Anstieg hinauf auf den Kirchberg und führt immer geradeaus bis in Zeidelweidetal. Sie biegen jedoch an der Wegkreuzung links auf den <strong>Ringweg - Nordring</strong> (grüner Kreis) ab und folgen damit gleichzeitig dem <strong>Lehr- und Wanderpfad Zeidelweide</strong> (grüner Strich diagonal), der im Tal dem Bachverlauf folgt.</p> <p>Am Ende dieses malerischen Tals (Naturschutzgebiet) mit seinen weiten Wiesen, die sich durch eine besondere und geschützte Flora auszeichnen und früher als Bienen(=Zeidel)weiden dienten, treffen Sie auf das Alte Schloss Schönfeld. Sollten Sie hier nun eine Ruine suchen, werden Sie leider nicht fündig werden. Es handelt sich hier um eine mittelalterliche Ringwallanlage mit Insel und Wassergraben, die einst mit Palisaden befestigt war und dem Schutz derer diente, die hier auf diesem einsamen Außenposten Landwirtschaft betrieben. Der Lehrpfad führt sie übrigens einmal über den Ringwall.</p> <p>Vom Alten Schloss kommend, verlassen Sie den Lehrpfad (grüner Strich diagonal) wie auch den Ringweg (grüner Kreis) wieder und begeben sich für den Rückweg nach Bad Elster auf den <strong>Alten Schlossweg</strong> (blauer Strich). Auch der VPW ist nun wieder an Ihrer Seite.</p> <p>Nach einer schönen Strecke im Hochwald werden Sie an einer Wegkreuzung nach rechts wieder auf den Arnsgrüner Kirchsteig (grünes X) einbiegen, welcher Sie vorbei an der Römer-Hütte zurück nach Bad Elster bringen wird.</p> <p>Sobald Sie den Wald verlassen, eröffnet sich Ihnen ein beeindruckender und wunderschöner Blick auf Bad Elster sowie den Brunnenberg östlich und die bewaldeten Höhenzüge südlich des Heilbades.</p> <p>Bleiben Sie auf dem Arnsgrüner Kirchsteig, vorbei an der imposanten Schillereiche und einer Friedrich-Schiller-Büste, bis Sie am Fuße des Kirchberges erneut den Forellenteich und Albert Park erreichen. Nehmen Sie für den Rückweg ins Zentrum nun die <strong>Prof.-Paul-Köhler-Straße</strong>, die direkt links neben dem Albert Park verläuft.</p> <p>Sie erreichen in Kürze das erste und damit älteste Sanatorium Bad Elsters, welches 1904 von Professor Paul Köhler gegründet wurde. Der wertvolle und attraktive Gebäudebestand aus dieser Zeit - besonders im Inneren mit schmuckem Jugendstil-Dekor -  wurde gut erhalten und vorbildlich restauriert und bildet in Verknüpfung mit modernen Gebäuden heute die Deutsche Klinik für Integrative Medizin und Naturheilverfahren (DEKIMED).</p> <p>Nach dem letzten Gebäude des Klinikkomplexes (Villa Albertpark) biegen Sie rechts in den Albert Park und begeben sich in den kleinen Parkbereich direkt hinter dem Königlichen Kurhaus. Wählen Sie den rechten kleinen Weg über die Brücke des Bärenlohbaches und sehen von hier aus schon die Rückansicht der wohl passendsten und schönsten Skulptur Bad Elsters, zu der Sie dieser Weg nach einem Knick nach links bringt und die Wanderung abschließt. Es ist Hygiea, die Göttin der Gesundheit. Sie reicht der vor ihr knieenden Kranken das heilende Wasser, nachdem diese von den Musen der Musik und des Theaters "behandelt" wurde, um Sie zu inspirieren, ihren Geist zu öffnen und die Heilung zu erleichtern. So beschrieb es einst der Apotheker und Heimatdichter Carl August Klingner anlässlich der Eröffnung unseres König Albert Theaters 1914. The valuable and attractive buildings from that time—especially the interior with ornate Art Nouveau décor—have been well preserved and excellently restored and today, together with modern buildings, form the German Clinic for Integrative Medicine and Naturopathy (DEKIMED). After the last building of the clinic complex (Villa Albertpark) you turn right into Albert Park and enter the small park area directly behind the Royal Spa House. Choose the small right path over the bridge of the Bärenlohbach and from here you will already see the rear view of probably the most fitting and most beautiful sculpture of Bad Elster, to which this path leads after a turn to the left and which concludes the hike. It is Hygiea, the goddess of health. She offers the healing water to the patient kneeling before her, after she has been "treated" by the muses of music and theater to inspire her, open her mind, and ease healing. This was once described by the pharmacist and local poet Carl August Klingner on the occasion of the opening of our König Albert Theater in 1914. What a fitting and beautiful image he thus painted of Bad Elster...
thuecat:directions @de Ausgehend vom Startpunkt inmitten der prächtigsten Gebäude der Königlichen Anlagen Bad Elster: König Albert Theater, Albert Bad und Königliches Kurhaus, folgen Sie der Markierung des Vogtland Panorama Weges (rotes VPW auf weißem Grund). Der Weg ist gleichzeitig markiert mit blauem Strich. Genießen Sie so gleich zu Beginn der Wanderung den weitläufigen im englischen Stil angelegten Albert Park (Ende 19. Jahrhundert) mit seinen idyllisch gelegenen Teichen und dem besonderen Baumbestand. Vorbei an der Schindeleiche, einer Roteiche, die zur Ehren des Garteninspektors Paul Schindel 1924, drei Jahre nach seinem Tod, in diesem von ihm angelegten Park gepflanzt wurde, erreichen Sie nach dem Überqueren der Beuthstraße den Forellenteich, der das Ende des Parks markiert. Unmittelbar am Teich wechselt der VPW auf den Kirchbergweg (grünes Quadrat) und schlängelt sich vorbei an der Antonienhütte in Serpentinen den Kirchberg (569m) hinauf.  Folgen Sie diesem nur kurz, bis zu einem rechts am Weg stehenden Haus. Geradeaus erreichen sie nach wenigen Metern den rechts vom Tal heraufkommenden Arnsgrüner Kirchsteig (grünes X), auf welchen Sie nun links abbiegend wechseln - ebenso wie der VPW. Den kommenden Wegabschnitt werden Sie dann auch auf dem Rückweg passieren. Freuen Sie sich also schon auf den wunderschönen Blick auf Bad Elster, der Sie später noch einmal erwartet. Der Arnsgrüner Kirchsteig bringt sie zunächst über einen moderaten Anstieg hinauf auf den Kirchberg und führt immer geradeaus bis in Zeidelweidetal. Auf halbem Weg liegt die Römer-Hütte. Sie ist nach dem Forstmeister Römer benannt, dem das Revier um Bad Elster unterstand und zu dessen Aufgabe es gehörte, den sächsischen König Friedrich August III. zur Auerhahnjagd zu begleiten und dafür zu sorgen, dass der König zum Schuss kam und seine Jagd erfolgreich war. Direkt nach der Römerhütte verlassen Sie den VPW, denn dieser zweigt nach links ab in den Alten Schlossweg. Gehen Sie weiter geradeaus. Im Zeidelweidetal angekommen, überquert der Arnsgrüner Kirchsteig den Zeidelweidebach und würde geradeaus weiter direkt bis ins nahegelegene Dörfchen Arnsgrün führen. Sie biegen jedoch an der Wegkreuzung links auf den Ringweg - Nordring (grüner Kreis) ab und folgen damit gleichzeitig dem Lehr- und Wanderpfad Zeidelweide (grüner Strich diagonal), der im Tal dem Bachverlauf folgt. Am Ende dieses malerischen Tals (Naturschutzgebiet) mit seinen weiten Wiesen, die sich durch eine besondere und geschützte Flora auszeichnen und früher als Bienen(=Zeidel)weiden dienten, treffen Sie auf das Alte Schloss Schönfeld. Sollten Sie hier nun eine Ruine suchen, werden Sie leider nicht fündig werden. Es handelt sich hier um eine mittelalterliche Ringwallanlage mit Insel und Wassergraben, die einst mit Palisaden befestigt war und dem Schutz derer diente, die hier auf diesem einsamen Außenposten Landwirtschaft betrieben. Der Lehrpfad führt sie übrigens einmal über den Ringwall. Vom Alten Schloss kommend, verlassen Sie den Lehrpfad (grüner Strich diagonal) wie auch den Ringweg (grüner Kreis) wieder und begeben sich für den Rückweg nach Bad Elster auf den Alten Schlossweg (blauer Strich). Auch der VPW ist nun wieder an Ihrer Seite. Nach einer schönen Strecke im Hochwald werden Sie an einer Wegkreuzung nach rechts wieder auf den Arnsgrüner Kirchsteig (grünes X) einbiegen, welcher Sie vorbei an der Römer-Hütte zurück nach Bad Elster bringen wird. Sobald Sie den Wald verlassen, eröffnet sich Ihnen ein beeindruckender und wunderschöner Blick auf Bad Elster sowie den Brunnenberg östlich und die bewaldeten Höhenzüge südlich des Heilbades. Bleiben Sie auf dem Arnsgrüner Kirchsteig, vorbei an der imposanten Schillereiche und einer Friedrich-Schiller-Büste, bis Sie am Fuße des Kirchberges erneut den Forellenteich und Albert Park erreichen. Nehmen Sie für den Rückweg ins Zentrum nun die Prof.-Paul-Köhler-Straße, die direkt links neben dem Albert Park verläuft. Sie erreichen in Kürze das erste und damit älteste Sanatorium Bad Elsters, welches 1904 von Professor Paul Köhler gegründet wurde. Der wertvolle und attraktive Gebäudebestand aus dieser Zeit - besonders im Inneren mit schmuckem Jugendstil-Dekor -  wurde gut erhalten und vorbildlich restauriert und bildet in Verknüpfung mit modernen Gebäuden heute die Deutsche Klinik für Integrative Medizin und Naturheilverfahren (DEKIMED). Nach dem letzten Gebäude des Klinikkomplexes (Villa Albertpark) biegen Sie rechts in den Albert Park und begeben sich in den kleinen Parkbereich direkt hinter dem Königlichen Kurhaus. Wählen Sie den rechten kleinen Weg über die Brücke des Bärenlohbaches und sehen von hier aus schon die Rückansicht der wohl passendsten und schönsten Skulptur Bad Elsters, zu der Sie dieser Weg nach einem Knick nach links bringt und die Wanderung abschließt. Es ist Hygiea, die Göttin der Gesundheit. Sie reicht der vor ihr knieenden Kranken das heilende Wasser, nachdem diese von den Musen der Musik und des Theaters "behandelt" wurde, um Sie zu inspirieren, ihren Geist zu öffnen und die Heilung zu erleichtern. So beschrieb es einst der Apotheker und Heimatdichter Carl August Klingner anlässlich der Eröffnung unseres König Albert Theaters 1914. Welch treffendes und schönes Bild er doch damit von Bad Elster zeichnete...
