Diese Tour führt entlang der beiden Quellbäche der Werre, welche den Namen ihres Entspringungsortes tragen - der Dittersdorfer und Braunsdorfer Werre. An der Stelle wo sich beide Bäche vereinen und den gemeinsamen Namen Werre erhalten, liegt der Werresitz. Der Sage nach wohnte hier einst eine Nixe namens Werra. Sie versuchte, einen Dittersdorfer Burschen und sein Mädchen zu entzweien. Das Mädchen überlistete jedoch die Nixe. Einst führte die Werre durch das fürstliche Wildgatter. An einigen Stellen der Dittersdorfer Werre kann man noch die gemauerten Pfeiler des Wildzauns gut erkennen.  Das kleine Örtchen Dittersdorf liegt 580 Meter über NN am Rande einer Hochfläche in einer Talzunge eingebettet und von Wiesen und Weiden umgeben. Von hier aus folgen Sie der Beschilderung Richtung Braunsdorf und biegen am Abzweig "Gonsel" in Richtung Braunsdorfer Schneidemühle ab. Ab hier aus geht es nun die Braunsdorfer Werre wieder zurück in Richtung Bad Blankenburg. An der Stelle wo sich die beiden Bächlein zur Werre vereinen, verlassen Sie den Weg und folgen rechts dem kleinen Pfad , welcher zu einem weiteren Höhepunkt dieser Tour führt - dem Katzenstein.

Ce parcours longe les deux ruisseaux sources de la Werre, qui portent le nom de leur lieu de naissance - la Dittersdorfer et Braunsdorfer Werre. Là où les deux ruisseaux se rejoignent pour former la Werre, se situe le siège de la Werre. Selon la légende, une nixe nommée Werra y habitait autrefois. Elle a tenté de séparer un garçon de Dittersdorf et sa fiancée, mais la jeune fille a déjoué la nixe. Autrefois, la Werre traversait le parc de gibier princier. À certains endroits de la Dittersdorfer Werre, on peut encore bien voir les piliers maçonnés de la clôture du gibier. Le petit village de Dittersdorf est situé à 580 mètres d'altitude au bord d'un plateau, niché dans une langue de vallée et entouré de prés et de pâturages. Depuis là, suivez la signalisation en direction de Braunsdorf et au croisement "Gonsel" tournez vers la Schneidemühle de Braunsdorf. À partir de là, suivez la Werre de Braunsdorf en direction de Bad Blankenburg. Au point où les deux petits ruisseaux se réunissent pour former la Werre, quittez le chemin et suivez à droite le petit sentier qui mène à un autre point fort de ce parcours - le Katzenstein.

This route follows the two headstreams of the Werre, which are named after their sources - the Dittersdorfer and Braunsdorfer Werre. At the point where both streams unite and take the common name Werre, lies the Werresitz. According to legend, a nixie named Werra once lived here. She tried to separate a Dittersdorfer lad and his girl, but the girl outwitted the nixie. The Werre once ran through the princely game enclosure. At some points on the Dittersdorfer Werre, one can still clearly see the masonry pillars of the game fence. The small village of Dittersdorf is located 580 meters above sea level on the edge of a high plateau embedded in a valley tongue surrounded by meadows and pastures. From here, follow the signs towards Braunsdorf and turn at the junction "Gonsel" towards Braunsdorfer Schneidemühle. From here, you follow the Braunsdorfer Werre back towards Bad Blankenburg. At the spot where the two streams unite to form the Werre, leave the path and follow the small path to the right, which leads to another highlight of this route - the Katzenstein.
