1970 wurde Bayerns erster Vogelkundepfad in Aschach eröffnet. Neben der Aufklärung über die heimischen Vögel wurde sich damals in den Volieren auch um kranke und verletzte Vögel gekümmert. Von den Volieren ist heute nichts mehr zu sehen. Aus dem einstigen Vogelkundepfad ist im Laufe der Zeit ein Naturlehrpfad entstanden. An den Vogelkundepfad erinnern heute lediglich die ca. 100 vom Heimat- und Wanderverein Aschach aufgehängten Nistkästen in den Bäumen und die am Wegesrand aufgestellten Informationskästen zu den heimischen Vogelarten. In circa 90 Prozent der Nistkästen haben es sich heimische Vogelarten wie Amsel, Buchfink oder Buntspecht gemütlich gemacht.

Ce sentier ornithologique est aujourd'hui seulement rappelé par environ 100 nichoirs suspendus dans les arbres par l'association locale et de randonnée d'Aschach et par les panneaux d'information installés en bordure du chemin sur les espèces d'oiseaux locales. Dans environ 90 % des nichoirs, des oiseaux locaux comme le merle noir, le pinson des arbres ou le pic épeiche se sont installés confortablement.

In 1970, Bavaria's first birdwatching path was opened in Aschach. Besides educating about the native birds, at that time sick and injured birds were also cared for in the aviaries. Today, nothing remains of the aviaries. Over time, the original birdwatching path has developed into a nature trail. Only about 100 nesting boxes hung in the trees by the local heritage and hiking club and the information boards along the path about the local bird species serve as a reminder of the birdwatching path today.
