Start- und Endpunkt des Rundgangs ist die Touristinformation Ruha auf dem Neuen Markt. Kostenfreie Parkplätze sind in unmittelbarer Nähe am Rathaus bzw. gegenüber vom Rathaus vorhanden. Für einen kurzen Abstecher in die Natur, können Sie ein Stück entlang des Naturerlebnispfades wandern, bevor Sie Ihren Rundgang weiter fortsetzt. Immerse yourself in the eventful history of our quaint mountain town Ruhla. Along the route, you will encounter 14 different stations where you will learn interesting and astonishing facts. The start and end point of the route is the Ruhla Tourist Information at the New Market. Free parking spaces are available nearby at the town hall or opposite the town hall. For a short detour into nature, you can walk a piece along the nature adventure trail before continuing your route. Von hier geht es ein Stück entlang der Hauptstraße zum "Uhrenstübchen" (Station 2). Vorbei am regionalen Spezialitätenladen biegen Sie rechts in Richtung Köhlergasse ab. Hier befindet sich auf der linken Seite das Hüsschen (Station 3). Eine kurze Rast kann auf dem dahinter liegenden Wasserspielplatz eingelegt werden oder im Biergarten der Gaststätte "Einkehr zum Landgrafen", bevor es weiter die Köhlergasse entlang geht (Station 4). Die Köhlergasse ist die älteste Straße der Stadt und ebenso geschichtsträchtig. Auf mehreren Hinweistafeln, links und rechts an Häusern angebracht, erfahren Sie so einiges über die berühmten Persönlichkeiten und wichtigen Wirkungsstätten der Stadt. Eine Besonderheit in Ruhla sind die zahlreichen "Hohlen" (Station 5). Das sind schmale Verbindungswege zwischen den Straßen auf der Talsohle und den Häusern an den Berghängen bzw. Waldrändern. Entlang des Rundgangs begeben Sie sich nun auf solch eine Hohle. Diese führt auf der rechten Seite ins enge "Flohgässchen", bevor es über eine weitere Hohle zurück auf die Köhlergasse geht. Nach wenigen Metern ist die St. Trinitatiskirche (Station 6) erreicht. Hier gibt es die Möglichkeit, einen kurzen Abstecher in die Natur zu unternehmen. Über den Friedhof gelangen Sie über einen kurzen steilen Weg auf den Naturerlebnispfad (Station 7). Genießen Sie die Aussicht von der Emilienruh und tauchen Sie ein in die Natur. Nach rund 1,5 Kilometern zweigt ein Weg in die Straße "Am Breitenberg" ab, über welche Sie zurück auf die Köhlergasse kommen. (Wer den Abstecher in die Natur nicht laufen möchte, folgt einfach dem Verlauf entlang der Köhlergasse weiter.) Am oberen Ausgang der Köhlergasse erreichen Sie dann den historischen Grenzstein der Stadt Ruhla (Station 8). Nach wenigen Metern entlang der Hauptstraße, biegen Sie linkerhand in die "Kleine Gasse" ein, um zum Orts- und Tabakpfeifenmuseum (Station 9) zu gelangen. Verbinden Sie den Stadtrundgang mit einem Museumsbesuch, um einen tieferen Einblick in die erstaunliche Geschichte Ruhlas zu erlangen. Zurück am Grenzstein geht es vorbei am Erbstrom über die "Krumme Wiesengasse" und "In der Ecke" zum Wasserrad (Station 10) am Rathaus. Den Parkplatz vor dem Rathaus überquerend, folgen Sie ein kurzes Stück der Hauptstraße, bevor das nächste Ziel, die St. Concordia Kirche (Station 11) erreicht wird. Nehmen Sie sich einen Moment Zeit, um die einzigartige Winkelkirche und den steilen, terrassenförmig angelegten Friedhof anzusehen. Nun geht es weiter über die Straße "An der Gottesgabe" zur nächsten Hohle. Der Hohle bergab folgend (am Abzweig links halten) gelangt man ins Bermbachtal, dort biegen Sie links ab und erreichen nach wenigen Metern die Forstlehranstalt (Station 12) und das Stadtbad (Station 13). Kehren Sie nun um und folgen Sie der Straße bis zur Kreuzung der Hauptstraße. Linkerhand befindet sich mit der Hansekogge (Station 14) die letzte Station unseres Stadtrundganges, bevor Sie wieder auf dem Marktplatz bei der Touristinformation angekommen sind.

From here, the route follows the main street for a short distance to the "Little Clock Shop" (Station 2). Passing the regional specialty shop, turn right towards Köhlergasse. On the left side is the small house (Station 3). You can take a short break at the water playground behind it or in the beer garden of the inn "Einkehr zum Landgrafen" before continuing along Köhlergasse (Station 4). Köhlergasse is the oldest street in the city and just as historically significant. Several information boards on the left and right of the houses provide insights about famous personalities and important places of activity in the city. A special feature in Ruhla is the numerous "Hohlen" (Station 5). These are narrow connecting paths between the streets on the valley floor and the houses on the hillsides or forest edges. Along the route, you now go onto such a Hohle. It leads on the right side into the narrow "Flohgässchen" before returning to Köhlergasse via another Hohle. After a few meters, the St. Trinity Church (Station 6) is reached. Here, there is the opportunity to take a short detour into nature. Passing the cemetery via a short steep path leads to the nature adventure trail (Station 7). Enjoy the view from Emilienruh and immerse yourself in nature. After about 1.5 kilometers, a path branches off into the street "Am Breitenberg," returning you back to Köhlergasse. (Those who do not want to take the detour into nature simply continue along Köhlergasse.) At the upper exit of Köhlergasse, you reach the historic boundary stone of the city of Ruhla (Station 8). After a few meters along the main street, turn left into the "Kleine Gasse" to reach the Local and Tobacco Pipe Museum (Station 9). Combine the city walking route with a museum visit to gain deeper insights into the astonishing history of Ruhla. Returning to the boundary stone, go past the Erbstrom via "Krumme Wiesengasse" and "In der Ecke" to the water wheel (Station 10) at the town hall. Crossing the parking lot in front of the town hall, follow the main street for a short distance before reaching the next destination, the St. Concordia Church (Station 11). Take a moment to admire the unique angled church and the steep, terraced cemetery. Then continue along the street "An der Gottesgabe" to the next Hohle. Following the Hohle downhill (keep left at the fork), you reach the Bermbachtal, turn left there and after a few meters reach the Forest Training Institute (Station 12) and the city swimming pool (Station 13). À la sortie supérieure de la Köhlergasse, vous atteignez la borne frontalière historique de la ville de Ruhla (station 8). En descendant ce passage (gardez la gauche au détour), vous arrivez dans la vallée Bermbachtal, où vous tournez à gauche et atteignez après quelques mètres l'école forestière (station 12) et la piscine municipale (station 13). Faites demi-tour et suivez la rue jusqu'au croisement de la rue principale. À gauche se trouve la Hansekogge (station 14), la dernière station de notre balade en ville, avant que vous ne reveniez au marché à l'office de tourisme.

Auf mehreren Hinweistafeln, links und rechts an Häusern angebracht, erfahren Sie so einiges über die berühmten Persönlichkeiten und wichtigen Wirkungsstätten der Stadt. Eine Besonderheit in Ruhla sind die zahlreichen "Hohlen" (Station 5). Das sind schmale Verbindungswege zwischen den Straßen auf der Talsohle und den Häusern an den Berghängen bzw. Waldrändern. Entlang des Rundgangs begeben Sie sich nun auf solch eine Hohle. Diese führt auf der rechten Seite ins enge "Flohgässchen", bevor es über eine weitere Hohle zurück auf die Köhlergasse geht. Nach wenigen Metern ist die St. Trinitatiskirche (Station 6) erreicht. Hier gibt es die Möglichkeit, einen kurzen Abstecher in die Natur zu unternehmen. Über den Friedhof gelangen Sie über einen kurzen steilen Weg auf den Naturerlebnispfad (Station 7). Genießen Sie die Aussicht von der Emilienruh und tauchen Sie ein in die Natur. Nach rund 1,5 Kilometern zweigt ein Weg in die Straße "Am Breitenberg" ab, über welche Sie zurück auf die Köhlergasse kommen. (Wer den Abstecher in die Natur nicht laufen möchte, folgt einfach dem Verlauf entlang der Köhlergasse weiter.) Am oberen Ausgang der Köhlergasse erreichen Sie dann den historischen Grenzstein der Stadt Ruhla (Station 8). Nach wenigen Metern entlang der Hauptstraße, biegen Sie linkerhand in die "Kleine Gasse" ein, um zum Orts- und Tabakpfeifenmuseum (Station 9) zu gelangen. Verbinden Sie den Stadtrundgang mit einem Museumsbesuch, um einen tieferen Einblick in die erstaunliche Geschichte Ruhlas zu erlangen. Zurück am Grenzstein geht es vorbei am Erbstrom über die "Krumme Wiesengasse" und "In der Ecke" zum Wasserrad (Station 10) am Rathaus. Den Parkplatz vor dem Rathaus überquerend, folgen Sie ein kurzes Stück der Hauptstraße, bevor das nächste Ziel, die St. Concordia Kirche (Station 11) erreicht wird. Nehmen Sie sich einen Moment Zeit, um die einzigartige Winkelkirche und den steilen, terrassenförmig angelegten Friedhof anzusehen. Nun geht es weiter über die Straße "An der Gottesgabe" zur nächsten Hohle. Der Hohle bergab folgend (am Abzweig links halten) gelangt man ins Bermbachtal, dort biegen Sie links ab und erreichen nach wenigen Metern die Forstlehranstalt (Station 12) und das Stadtbad (Station 13). Kehren Sie nun um und folgen Sie der Straße bis zur Kreuzung der Hauptstraße. Linkerhand befindet sich mit der Hansekogge (Station 14) die letzte Station unseres Stadtrundganges, bevor Sie wieder auf dem Marktplatz bei der Touristinformation angekommen sind.

From here, the route follows the main street for a short distance to the "Little Clock Shop" (Station 2). Passing the regional specialty shop, turn right towards Köhlergasse. Along the route, you now go onto such a Hohle. It leads on the right side into the narrow "Flohgässchen" before returning to Köhlergasse via another Hohle. After a few meters, the St. Trinity Church (Station 6) is reached. Here, there is the opportunity to take a short detour into nature. Passing the cemetery via a short steep path leads to the nature adventure trail (Station 7). Enjoy the view from Emilienruh and immerse yourself in nature. After about 1.5 kilometers, a path branches off into the street "Am Breitenberg," returning you back to Köhlergasse. (Those who do not want to take the detour into nature simply continue along Köhlergasse.) At the upper exit of Köhlergasse, you reach the historic boundary stone of the city of Ruhla (Station 8). After a few meters along the main street, turn left into the "Kleine Gasse" to reach the Local and Tobacco Pipe Museum (Station 9). Combine the city walking route with a museum visit to gain deeper insights into the astonishing history of Ruhla. Returning to the boundary stone, go past the Erbstrom via "Krumme Wiesengasse" and "In der Ecke" to the water wheel (Station 10) at the town hall. Crossing the parking lot in front of the town hall, follow the main street for a short distance before reaching the next destination, the St. Concordia Church (Station 11). Take a moment to admire the unique angled church and the steep, terraced cemetery. Then continue along the street "An der Gottesgabe" to the next Hohle. Following the Hohle downhill (keep left at the fork), you reach the Bermbachtal, turn left there and after a few meters reach the Forest Training Institute (Station 12) and the city swimming pool (Station 13). Now turn back and follow the street to the main street intersection.
