Begeben Sie sich bei dieser Runde, mit Start und Ziel in den Königlichen Anlagen Bad Elster, auf eine abwechslungsreiche Berg- und Talwanderung durch die reizvolle Landschaft des Elstergebirges nordöstlich des Mineral- und Moorheilbades. Der anspruchsvollste Abschnitt der Wanderung erwartet Sie am Beginn, wenn Sie über den Mühlhausener Kirchsteig den Brunnenberg erklimmen. Danach folgen moderate Steigungen, einige ebene Wegabschnitte entlang des Rauner Baches und der Weißen Elster und natürlich dürfen Sie sich auf aussichtsreiche Panorama-Passagen im Bereich des Aussichtsturmes in Remtengrün und während der Abstiege ins Tal freuen. Besondere Idylle erwartet Sie im Tal des Rauner Baches kurz vor seiner Mündung in die Weiße Elster in Mühlhausen. Als Teil eines Naturschutzgebietes dient es der Erhaltung eines struktur- und artenreichen Fließgewässersystems und dessen typische Lebensräume. Von großer Bedeutung ist hierbei das Vorkommen der stark vom Aussterben bedrohten Flussperlmuschel.

Embark on this circular route, starting and ending in the Royal Facilities of Bad Elster, on a varied mountain and valley hike through the charming landscape of the Elster Mountains northeast of the mineral and moor spa. The most challenging section of the hike awaits you at the beginning when you climb the Brunnenberg via the Mühlhausener Kirchsteig. Afterwards, moderate ascents follow, some flat sections along the Rauner Bach and the Weiße Elster, and naturally, you can look forward to scenic panoramic sections around the viewing tower in Remtengrün and during the descents into the valley. Special idyll awaits you in the valley of the Rauner Bach shortly before its confluence with the Weiße Elster in Mühlhausen. As part of a nature reserve, it serves to preserve a structurally and species-rich flowing water system and its typical habitats. Of great importance here is the occurrence of the highly endangered freshwater pearl mussel.

In der Höhe aufgespannte Figuren (Sänger, Geigerin, Hexe), die abends durch Licht ausgefüllt werden, weisen Ihnen hierbei den Weg. Direkt am Restaurant-Café »Waldquelle« startet der <strong>Mühlhausener Kirchsteig</strong> (grünes Kreuz), der Sie links am Gelände des NaturTheaters vorbei den Brunnenberg erklimmen lässt. Es ist der einzige etwas stärkere Anstieg der Wanderung. Diesen Weg nutzten früher die Bewohner des Dorfes Mühlhausens für den Kirchgang nach Bad Elster. Oben angekommen, lädt sie die vor wenigen Jahren neu errichtete <strong>Albertihütte</strong> (Infos zur Hütte vor Ort) zu einer ersten Verschnaufpause ein.</p> <p>Setzen Sie hier Ihren Weg auf dem <strong>Mühlhausener Kirchsteig</strong> geradeaus fort. Ein gelbe Wegschranke und große auf dem Weg liegende Steine zeigen Ihnen, dass Sie richtig sind. Durch dichten Wald laufen Sie leicht bergab, erreichen bald darauf freies Gelände, welches Ihnen den Blick auf den Elsteraner <strong>Ortsteil Mühlhausen</strong> freigibt und schönes Panorama genießen lässt. </p> <p>Nach Ende dieses Wanderweges, gehen im Dorf ein Stück auf Asphalt, überqueren die Bahnschiene und kurz darauf unten im Tal die Bundesstraße B92. Der <strong>Jüdenlohweg</strong> lässt Sie den Rauner Bach und damit ein Naturschutzgebiet überqueren. Sie folgen dem Weg scharf rechts ein Stück durch das schöne Dorf und damit dem Wegekennzeichen weiß-grün-weiß. Sie erreichen nach kurzer Strecke einen einzeln stehenden Hof, wo sich der gekennzeichnete Weg nach links abgabelt. Nun geht es auf einem Feld-/ Wiesenweg sanft bergan, vorbei an einer Weihnachtsbaumplantage hinein in schönen Hochwald.</p> <p>Nach ca. 700 m mündet in diesen ein Weg von rechts der weiß-gelb-weiß markierte Weg von Sohl kommend ein. Bleiben Sie auf Ihrem Weg bis zur <strong>Straße</strong>, die rechts nach Strässel und links nach Remtengrün und Adorf führt. Sie biegen hier links ab und folgen nun für ca. 1,5 km dem Verlauf der Landwüster Straße sowie damit der weiß-gelb-weißen Markierung bzw. dem Kennzeichen »EB« (für Internat. Bergwanderweg Eisenach-Budapest).</p> <p>Biegen Sie dann links ab in den <strong>Turmweg</strong>, ein sehr schönes Wohngebiet in Remtengrün, einem Ortsteil der Stadt Adorf. Folgen Sie weiter der weiß-gelb-weißen Markierung und biegen damit bei der nächsten Möglichkeit wieder rechts ab und kommen nach wenigen Metern zum Aussichtsturm, den Sie für einen grandiosen Ausblick in die vogtländische und böhmische Landschaft besteigen können.</p> <p>Setzen Sie danach den bisherigen weiß-gelb-weiß-markierten Weg weiter fort, worauf Sie kurze Zeit später nach links abbiegen und sich nun rechtsseitig auf viele wunderschöne Panoramablicke freuen dürfen: Richtung Adorf, Arnsgrün sowie schließlich Sohl - ebenfalls ein zu Bad Elster gehörendes Dorf -  und Mühlhausen, welches als erneutes Ziel in Kürze unten im Tal vor Ihnen liegt.</p> <p>Nachdem Sie das kleine Waldstück verlassen haben, bieten sich zwei an perfekter Stelle aufgestellte Bänke für eine genussvolle Rast und einen freien Blick auf die malerische Landschaft.</p> <p>Ihr weiterer Weg geleitet Sie über das Feld direkt hinunter ins Dorf, wo Sie unmittelbar nach Erreichen des letzten Hauses nach rechts in einen schmalen unscheinbaren Wiesenweg abbiegen. Nun begleitet Sie der <strong>Rauner Bach</strong>, der sich im Naturschutzgebiet Rauner- und Haarbachtal befindet. In diesem Gebiet gibt es einen großen Artenreichtum in der Tier- und Pflanzenwelt, darunter auch noch Vorkommen der hochgradig vom Aussterben bedrohten Flussperlmuschel. Mit weniger als 50 Tieren ist auch diese Population, die zu den letzten in Sachsen gehört, äußerts schwach. (weitere Infos dazu hält der Erlebnispfad Flussperlmuschel in Sohl bereit)</p> <p>Unterhalb des Ortes überquert die Bahnlinie Plauen-Cheb (Eger) auf einem Viadukt das Tal des Rauner Baches. Kurz nachdem auch Sie dieses passiert haben, mündet der Rauner Bach in die <strong>Weiße Elster</strong>, die Sie nun für ca. 500 m begleiten wird. Dafür verlassen Sie ca. 250 m nach dem Viadukt den Wiesenweg scharf nach links, um schließlich in fast umgekehrter Richtung auf dem asphaltierten <strong>Elsterradweg</strong> flussaufwärts Bad Elster anzusteuern.</p> <p>Abermals an der B92 angekommen, überqueren Sie diese erneut und münden nun auf den <strong>Ringweg-Nordring</strong> (grüner Kreis), indem Sie dem Radweg nicht weiter folgen, sondern nach links die gepflasterte Straße hinauf zum <strong>Bahn-Haltepunkt Bad Elster</strong> gehen. Dort angekommen knickt Ihr Weg nach rechts ab (<strong>Ringweg-Ostring</strong>). Folgen Sie diesem bis zum Ende der Gartengrundstücke und wechseln beim nächsten großem Wegweiser auf den <strong>Bahnhofsweg</strong> (weiß-grün-weiß), der Sie zurück zum Ausgangspunkt nach Bad Elster bringt. This is the only somewhat steeper ascent of the hike. This path was formerly used by the residents of the village Mühlhausen to attend church in Bad Elster. At the top, the recently built <strong>Albertihütte</strong> (information about the hut on site) invites you to take your first rest.</p> <p>Continue your route here straight ahead on the <strong>Mühlhausener Kirchsteig</strong>. A yellow barrier and large stones lying on the path indicate that you are on the right track. You walk lightly downhill through dense forest, soon reaching open land, which gives you a view of the Elster district of <strong>Mühlhausen</strong> and allows you to enjoy a beautiful panorama. </p> <p>At the end of this hiking trail, walk a short distance on asphalt through the village, cross the railway tracks, and shortly thereafter cross the federal road B92 at the bottom of the valley. The <strong>Jüdenlohweg</strong> allows you to cross the Rauner Bach and thus a nature reserve. Follow the path sharply to the right a bit through the lovely village, following the signage white-green-white. After a short distance, you reach a solitary farm where the marked path branches off to the left. Now gently ascend on a field/meadow path, past a Christmas tree plantation into beautiful high forest.</p> <p>After about 700 m, a path marked white-yellow-white from the right, coming from Sohl, merges in. Stay on your path until the <strong>road</strong>, which leads right to Sträßel and left to Remtengrün and Adorf. Turn left here and now follow the course of Landwüster Straße for about 1.5 km, following the white-yellow-white markings or the sign »EB« (for the international Eisenach-Budapest mountain hiking trail).</p> <p>Then turn left into the <strong>Turmweg</strong>, a very beautiful residential area in Remtengrün, a district of the town Adorf. Continue to follow the white-yellow-white markings and turn right at the next opportunity, arriving after a few meters at the viewing tower, which you can climb for a magnificent view of the Vogtland and Bohemian landscape.</p> <p>Afterwards, continue on the existing white-yellow-white marked path, then shortly afterwards turn left and now enjoy many wonderful panoramic views on your right: towards Adorf, Arnsgrün, and finally Sohl—also a village belonging to Bad Elster—and Mühlhausen, which soon lies again as a destination down in the valley before you.</p> <p>After leaving the small forest area, two benches placed in a perfect location invite you to a relaxing break and an unobstructed view of the picturesque landscape.</p> <p>Your further path leads you across the field directly down into the village, where immediately after reaching the last house you turn right onto a narrow, inconspicuous meadow path. Now the <strong>Rauner Bach</strong>, which is located in the Rauner- and Haarbachtal nature reserve, accompanies you. This area is home to a great diversity of animal and plant species, including occurrences of the highly endangered freshwater pearl mussel. With fewer than 50 animals, this population, which is also one of the last in Saxony, is extremely weak. De retour à la B92, vous la traverserez à nouveau et arriverez ensuite sur le Ringweg-Nordring (cercle vert), en ne suivant pas plus loin la piste cyclable, mais en montant à gauche par la rue pavée jusqu'à la gare de Bad Elster. Arrivé là, votre chemin tourne à droite (Ringweg-Ostring). Suivez-le jusqu'à la fin des jardins, puis au prochain grand panneau indicateur, changez pour le Bahnhofsweg (blanc-vert-blanc), qui vous ramènera au point de départ à Bad Elster. Une très belle cabane de repos vous y attend encore - la Wanderersruh. Elle est une œuvre de Paul Schindel - une information sur cette cabane est aussi disponible sur place.

Figures suspended at height (singer, violinist, witch), which are illuminated by light in the evening, will show you the way. The Mühlhausener Kirchsteig (green cross) starts directly at the restaurant-café »Waldquelle«, leading you left past the grounds of the NaturTheater to climb the Brunnenberg. This is the only somewhat steeper ascent of the hike. This path was formerly used by the residents of the village Mühlhausen to attend church in Bad Elster. At the top, the recently built Albertihütte (information about the hut on site) invites you to take your first rest. Continue your route here straight ahead on the Mühlhausener Kirchsteig. A yellow barrier and large stones lying on the path indicate that you are on the right track. You walk lightly downhill through dense forest, soon reaching open land, which gives you a view of the Elster district of Mühlhausen and allows you to enjoy a beautiful panorama.  At the end of this hiking trail, walk a short distance on asphalt through the village, cross the railway tracks, and shortly thereafter cross the federal road B92 at the bottom of the valley. The Jüdenlohweg allows you to cross the Rauner Bach and thus a nature reserve. Follow the path sharply to the right a bit through the lovely village, following the signage white-green-white. After a short distance, you reach a solitary farm where the marked path branches off to the left. Now gently ascend on a field/meadow path, past a Christmas tree plantation into beautiful high forest. After about 700 m, a path marked white-yellow-white from the right, coming from Sohl, merges in. Stay on your path until the road, which leads right to Sträßel and left to Remtengrün and Adorf. Turn left here and now follow the course of Landwüster Straße for about 1.5 km, following the white-yellow-white markings or the sign »EB« (for the international Eisenach-Budapest mountain hiking trail). Then turn left into the Turmweg, a very beautiful residential area in Remtengrün, a district of the town Adorf. Continue to follow the white-yellow-white markings and turn right at the next opportunity, arriving after a few meters at the viewing tower, which you can climb for a magnificent view of the Vogtland and Bohemian landscape. Afterwards, continue on the existing white-yellow-white marked path, then shortly afterwards turn left and now enjoy many wonderful panoramic views on your right: towards Adorf, Arnsgrün, and finally Sohl—also a village belonging to Bad Elster—and Mühlhausen, which soon lies again as a destination down in the valley before you. After leaving the small forest area, two benches placed in a perfect location invite you to a relaxing break and an unobstructed view of the picturesque landscape. Your further path leads you across the field directly down into the village, where immediately after reaching the last house you turn right onto a narrow, inconspicuous meadow path. Now the Rauner Bach, which is located in the Rauner- and Haarbachtal nature reserve, accompanies you. This area is home to a great diversity of animal and plant species, including occurrences of the highly endangered freshwater pearl mussel. With fewer than 50 animals, this population, which is also one of the last in Saxony, is extremely weak. (Further information is provided by the freshwater pearl mussel adventure path in Sohl.) Below the village, the Plauen-Cheb (Eger) railway line crosses the valley of the Rauner Bach on a viaduct. Shortly after you have also crossed this, the Rauner Bach flows into the Weiße Elster, which will accompany you for about 500 m. For this, about 250 m after the viaduct, leave the meadow path sharply to the left to eventually head almost in the opposite direction on the paved Elsterradweg upstream towards Bad Elster. Once again at B92, cross it again and now enter the Ringweg-Nordring (green circle), by not following the cycle path but going left uphill along the paved street to the Bahn-Haltepunkt Bad Elster. Once there, your path turns right (Ringweg-Ostring). Follow this to the end of the garden plots and at the next large signpost switch to the Bahnhofsweg (white-green-white), which leads you back to the starting point in Bad Elster. Here you will find a very beautiful shelter—the Wanderersruh. It is a work by Paul Schindel—you can find information about the hut also on site.

Direkt am Restaurant-Café »Waldquelle« startet der Mühlhausener Kirchsteig (grünes Kreuz), der Sie links am Gelände des NaturTheaters vorbei den Brunnenberg erklimmen lässt. Es ist der einzige etwas stärkere Anstieg der Wanderung. Diesen Weg nutzten früher die Bewohner des Dorfes Mühlhausens für den Kirchgang nach Bad Elster. Oben angekommen, lädt sie die vor wenigen Jahren neu errichtete Albertihütte (Infos zur Hütte vor Ort) zu einer ersten Verschnaufpause ein. Setzen Sie hier Ihren Weg auf dem Mühlhausener Kirchsteig geradeaus fort. Ein gelbe Wegschranke und große auf dem Weg liegende Steine zeigen Ihnen, dass Sie richtig sind. Durch dichten Wald laufen Sie leicht bergab, erreichen bald darauf freies Gelände, welches Ihnen den Blick auf den Elsteraner Ortsteil Mühlhausen freigibt und schönes Panorama genießen lässt.  Nach Ende dieses Wanderweges, gehen im Dorf ein Stück auf Asphalt, überqueren die Bahnschiene und kurz darauf unten im Tal die Bundesstraße B92. Der Jüdenlohweg lässt Sie den Rauner Bach und damit ein Naturschutzgebiet überqueren. Sie folgen dem Weg scharf rechts ein Stück durch das schöne Dorf und damit dem Wegekennzeichen weiß-grün-weiß. Sie erreichen nach kurzer Strecke einen einzeln stehenden Hof, wo sich der gekennzeichnete Weg nach links abgabelt. Nun geht es auf einem Feld-/ Wiesenweg sanft bergan, vorbei an einer Weihnachtsbaumplantage hinein in schönen Hochwald. Nach ca. 700 m mündet in diesen ein Weg von rechts der weiß-gelb-weiß markierte Weg von Sohl kommend ein. Bleiben Sie auf Ihrem Weg bis zur Straße, die rechts nach Strässel und links nach Remtengrün und Adorf führt. Sie biegen hier links ab und folgen nun für ca. 1,5 km dem Verlauf der Landwüster Straße sowie damit der weiß-gelb-weißen Markierung bzw. dem Kennzeichen »EB« (für Internat. Bergwanderweg Eisenach-Budapest). Biegen Sie dann links ab in den Turmweg, ein sehr schönes Wohngebiet in Remtengrün, einem Ortsteil der Stadt Adorf. Folgen Sie weiter der weiß-gelb-weißen Markierung und biegen damit bei der nächsten Möglichkeit wieder rechts ab und kommen nach wenigen Metern zum Aussichtsturm, den Sie für einen grandiosen Ausblick in die vogtländische und böhmische Landschaft besteigen können. Setzen Sie danach den bisherigen weiß-gelb-weiß-markierten Weg weiter fort, worauf Sie kurze Zeit später nach links abbiegen und sich nun rechtsseitig auf viele wunderschöne Panoramablicke freuen dürfen: Richtung Adorf, Arnsgrün sowie schließlich Sohl - ebenfalls ein zu Bad Elster gehörendes Dorf -  und Mühlhausen, welches als erneutes Ziel in Kürze unten im Tal vor Ihnen liegt. Nachdem Sie das kleine Waldstück verlassen haben, bieten sich zwei an perfekter Stelle aufgestellte Bänke für eine genussvolle Rast und einen freien Blick auf die malerische Landschaft. Ihr weiterer Weg geleitet Sie über das Feld direkt hinunter ins Dorf, wo Sie unmittelbar nach Erreichen des letzten Hauses nach rechts in einen schmalen unscheinbaren Wiesenweg abbiegen. Nun begleitet Sie der Rauner Bach, der sich im Naturschutzgebiet Rauner- und Haarbachtal befindet. In diesem Gebiet gibt es einen großen Artenreichtum in der Tier- und Pflanzenwelt, darunter auch noch Vorkommen der hochgradig vom Aussterben bedrohten Flussperlmuschel. Mit weniger als 50 Tieren ist auch diese Population, die zu den letzten in Sachsen gehört, äußerts schwach. (weitere Infos dazu hält der Erlebnispfad Flussperlmuschel in Sohl bereit) Unterhalb des Ortes überquert die Bahnlinie Plauen-Cheb (Eger) auf einem Viadukt das Tal des Rauner Baches. Kurz nachdem auch Sie dieses passiert haben, mündet der Rauner Bach in die Weiße Elster, die Sie nun für ca. 500 m begleiten wird. Dafür verlassen Sie ca. 250 m nach dem Viadukt den Wiesenweg scharf nach links, um schließlich in fast umgekehrter Richtung auf dem asphaltierten Elsterradweg flussaufwärts Bad Elster anzusteuern. Abermals an der B92 angekommen, überqueren Sie diese erneut und münden nun auf den Ringweg-Nordring (grüner Kreis), indem Sie dem Radweg nicht weiter folgen, sondern nach links die gepflasterte Straße hinauf zum Bahn-Haltepunkt Bad Elster gehen. Dort angekommen knickt Ihr Weg nach rechts ab (Ringweg-Ostring). Folgen Sie diesem bis zum Ende der Gartengrundstücke und wechseln beim nächsten großem Wegweiser auf den Bahnhofsweg (weiß-grün-weiß), der Sie zurück zum Ausgangspunkt nach Bad Elster bringt. Es erwartet Sie hier noch eine sehr schöne Schutzhütte - die Wanderersruh. Sie ist ein Werk von Paul Schindel - eine Info zur Hütte finden Sie auch hier vor Ort.
