Die Tour beginnt am Wanderparkplatz "Krümme", gleich in der Nähe befindet sich der Kindergarten "Krümmespatzen". Es geht über den vorderen Nesselrain an der ehemaligen Waldgaststätte "Geißenalm" vorbei. Biegen Sie an der Schutzhütte rechts in die Weinstraße ab. Ein Zwischenstopp an der vorderen Schwarzbachwiese lohnt sich. Nicht weit entfernt, befindet sich die Ruhlaer Skihütte. Werfen Sie doch mal einen Blick hinein. Die Wände sind mit allerelei Traditionellem geschmückt. Auch einen Besuch bei der Falknerei am Rennsteig sollten Sie nicht verpassen. Eine weitere Einkehrmöglichkeit gibt es gleich gegenüber im Hotel Rennsteighof. Zurück geht es über den Eckardsbachweg unterhalb vom Reifenstieg. Sie kommen am Stadion Mittelwiese vorbei und überqueren noch einmal den Bach "Kalter Rümpler", ehe Sie ihren Ausgangspunkt wieder erreicht haben.

Le parcours commence au parking de randonnée "Krümme", à proximité se trouve la crèche "Krümmespatzen". Il passe par l'avant Nesselrain près de l'ancienne auberge de forêt "Geißenalm". Tournez à droite à l'abri dans la Weinstraße. Un arrêt à la réserve naturelle de la Schwarzbachwiese vaut la peine. Non loin se trouve le refuge de ski de Ruhla. N'hésitez pas à jeter un coup d'œil à l'intérieur. Les murs sont décorés de toutes sortes d'objets traditionnels. Ne manquez pas non plus une visite à la fauconnerie au Rennsteig. Une autre possibilité de restauration se trouve juste en face à l'hôtel Rennsteighof. Le retour se fait par le Eckardsbachweg en dessous du Reifenstieg. Vous passerez par le stade Mittelwiese et traverserez à nouveau le ruisseau "Kalter Rümpler" avant de retrouver votre point de départ.

Wir folgen der leicht ansteigenden Weinstraße und erreichen linkerhand das Areal des Hotels „Rennsteighof“. Das Plateau überquerend, erreichen wir geradeaus die Ruhlaer Skihütte. Direkt dahinter befindet sich die Greifenwarte „Falknerei am Rennsteig“. Verbinden Sie Ihre Wanderung doch einfach mit einem Besuch in der Greifenwarte und bestaunen Sie die majestätischen Greifvögel bei ihren Freiflügen. Eine kleine Rast bietet sich ebenfalls an. Nachdem wir uns gestärkt haben, wird es langsam Zeit für den Rückweg. Wir kehren zurück an die Wegkreuzung, wo wir die Weinstraße verlassen haben und folgen den Wegweisern gerade aus auf dem Eckardsbachweg. Beständig bergab erreichen wir nach ca. 2,5 km das Stadion „Mittelwiese“. Dort vorbeilaufend, biegen wir an der Kreuzung nach rechts in die Otto-Böttinger-Straße ein. Diese verlassen wir auch sogleich. Weiter geradeaus laufend, entlang schöner Wiesen, gelangen wir zur Brücke über den „Kalten Rümpler“. Eine weitere Brücke passierend, führt uns der Weg wieder auf den Wanderweg vom Anfang der Tour. Diesen folgen wir bis zum Ausgangspunkt am Wanderparkplatz Krümme. Alternativ kann man die Tour auch direkt bei der Skihütte starten und enden. Zudem lässt sich die Tour auch mit dem bereits vorgestellten Rundwanderweg „Geberstein Tour“ kombinieren. Dabei folgen Sie ab der Ruhlaer Skihütte der Markierung mit dem gelben Dreieck.
