Ausgangs- und Zielpunkt der Wanderung ist die Quelle der Unstrut in Kefferhausen. Sie befindet sich 386 m über dem Meeresspiegel.  Die Quelle wurde bereits 531 erwähnt, als die Schlacht zwischen Thüringern und Franken bei Burg Scheidungen stattfand. Die Unstrut mündet nach 192 km als wasserreicher Nebenfluss in die Saale bei Naumburg. Der Platz um die Quelle herum bietet allen Radfahrern und Wanderern Sitzgelegenheiten zum Ruhen, Picknicken und Verweilen. Kinder können sich auf dem Spielplatz austoben. Außerdem beginnt hier der beliebte und gern befahrene Unstrutradweg, der bekannt ist für seine schöne Natur, Ruhe und eindrucksvolle Landschaft.

The starting and ending point of the hike is the source of the Unstrut in Kefferhausen. It is located 386 m above sea level.  The source was already mentioned in 531, when the battle between Thuringians and Franks took place at Burg Scheidungen. The Unstrut flows after 192 km as a water-rich tributary into the Saale near Naumburg. The area around the spring offers seating for resting, picnicking, and relaxing for all cyclists and hikers. Children can let off steam on the playground. Also, the popular and frequently used Unstrut bike path begins here, known for its beautiful nature, tranquility, and impressive landscape.

Le point de départ et d'arrivée de la randonnée est la source de l'Unstrut à Kefferhausen. Elle se trouve à 386 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer.  La source a déjà été mentionnée en 531, lors de la bataille entre les Thuringiens et les Francs près du château de Scheidungen. L'Unstrut se jette après 192 km en tant qu'affluent abondant dans la Saale près de Naumbourg. Le site autour de la source offre à tous les cyclistes et randonneurs des places assises pour se reposer, pique-niquer et s'attarder. Les enfants peuvent s'amuser sur l'aire de jeux. In ca. 500 m Entfernungsteht linker Hand ein Flurkreuz unter einer alten Linde. Eine Bank lädt hier zu einer kurzen Rast ein. Wir folgen dem Weg weiter. Rechts und links des Weges sehen wir nun die in den Jahren 1999 und 2000 neu angepflanzten schwedischen Mehlbeerbäume (etwa 300 Stück). Besonders schön zeigt sich die Allee im Mai in weißer Blütenpracht und im Herbst mit ihren dunkelroten Beeren. </p> <p>Am Wegende gelangen wir an eine Kreuzung, der wir nach rechts folgen. Das nächste Ziel, die Werdigeshäuser Kirche, sehen wir schon vor uns liegen. Die Kirche (im Volksmund "Neue Kirche") steht auf dem Grund der Wüstung Werdigeshausen. Der Ort wurde im 30-jährigen Krieg zerstört. Die Kirche ist am Dreifaltigkeitssonntag sowie am Sonntag um den 8. August (dem Gedenktag des Schutzheiligen St. Cyriakus) Ziel von Wallfahrten. </p> <p>Von der Werdigshäuser Kirche folgen wir dem Feld- und Wiesenweg im Tal und erreichen oberhalb der Unstrutquelle die Markierung in Richtung Zielpunkt. Über Treppenstufen und einem Pfad gelangen wir wieder zum Ausgangspunkt: Die Quelle der Unstrut.</p>

The church is the destination of pilgrimages on Trinity Sunday and on the Sunday around August 8 (the feast day of the patron saint St. Cyriak). </p> <p>From the Werdigeshäuser Church, we follow the field and meadow path in the valley and reach the marking towards the destination above the source of the Unstrut. Via steps and a path, we return to the starting point: The source of the Unstrut.</p>

L'église est le lieu de pèlerinages le dimanche de la Trinité ainsi que le dimanche autour du 8 août (jour de la mémoire de saint Cyriak). </p> <p>Depuis l'église de Werdigshäuser, nous suivons le chemin champêtre dans la vallée et atteignons, au-dessus de la source de l'Unstrut, la marque en direction du point d'arrivée. Par des marches et un sentier, nous retournons au point de départ : la source de l'Unstrut.</p>

Besonders schön zeigt sich die Allee im Mai in weißer Blütenpracht und im Herbst mit ihren dunkelroten Beeren.  Am Wegende gelangen wir an eine Kreuzung, der wir nach rechts folgen. Das nächste Ziel, die Werdigeshäuser Kirche, sehen wir schon vor uns liegen. Die Kirche (im Volksmund "Neue Kirche") steht auf dem Grund der Wüstung Werdigeshausen. Der Ort wurde im 30-jährigen Krieg zerstört. Die Kirche ist am Dreifaltigkeitssonntag sowie am Sonntag um den 8. August (dem Gedenktag des Schutzheiligen St. Cyriakus) Ziel von Wallfahrten.  Von der Werdigshäuser Kirche folgen wir dem Feld- und Wiesenweg im Tal und erreichen oberhalb der Unstrutquelle die Markierung in Richtung Zielpunkt. Über Treppenstufen und einem Pfad gelangen wir wieder zum Ausgangspunkt: Die Quelle der Unstrut.

About 500 m away, on the left, there is a field cross under an old linden tree. A bench invites you to take a short break here. We continue along the path. On the right and left of the path, we now see the newly planted Swedish service trees (about 300) from 1999 and 2000. The avenue shows particularly beautiful in May with white blossoms and in autumn with its dark red berries.  At the end of the path, we reach a crossroads, which we follow to the right. The next destination, the Werdigeshäuser Church, is already in front of us. The church (popularly called "New Church") stands on the site of the abandoned village of Werdigeshausen. The place was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. The church is the destination of pilgrimages on Trinity Sunday and on the Sunday around August 8 (the feast day of the patron saint St. Cyriak).  From the Werdigeshäuser Church, we follow the field and meadow path in the valley and reach the marking towards the destination above the source of the Unstrut. Via steps and a path, we return to the starting point: The source of the Unstrut.

À environ 500 m, il y a à gauche une croix de campagne sous un vieux tilleul. Un banc invite à une courte pause. Nous continuons sur le chemin. De chaque côté du chemin, nous voyons maintenant les sorbiers suédois nouvellement plantés en 1999 et 2000 (environ 300 arbres). L'allée est particulièrement belle en mai avec son abondance de fleurs blanches et en automne avec ses baies rouge foncé.  Au bout du chemin, nous arrivons à une intersection où nous tournons à droite. La prochaine destination, l'église de Werdigeshäuser, est déjà devant nous. L'église (appelée familièrement « nouvelle église ») se trouve sur le terrain de l'ancien village déserté de Werdigeshausen. Le village a été détruit pendant la guerre de Trente Ans. L'église est le lieu de pèlerinages le dimanche de la Trinité ainsi que le dimanche autour du 8 août (jour de la mémoire de saint Cyriak).  Depuis l'église de Werdigshäuser, nous suivons le chemin champêtre dans la vallée et atteignons, au-dessus de la source de l'Unstrut, la marque en direction du point d'arrivée. Par des marches et un sentier, nous retournons au point de départ : la source de l'Unstrut.
