Le sentier circulaire commence dans le charmant village de Roßdorf, qui séduit particulièrement les visiteurs avec son château situé au centre. Le château a été mentionné pour la première fois dans des documents en 780. À partir du centre du village, on suit le sentier de randonnée en direction sud-ouest le long du Nebelberg (533 m). Ceux qui le souhaitent peuvent emprunter un itinéraire alternatif passant par le Nebelberg. Le parcours continue ensuite en passant par le Roßhof. Un peu plus loin, on atteint l'abandon du Kohlbachhof. Dans sa jeunesse, y a vécu le Rhönpaulus, le Robin des Bois de la Rhön. Les habitants de la ferme ont été réinstallés de force en 1972 et les bâtiments ont été rasés. Après l'abandon du Kohlbachhof, on rejoint par le sentier circulaire le Gotteskopf (576 m). La montagne porte ce nom avec raison : c'était le siège des anciens dieux germaniques (Ases et Vanes). À l'époque, on leur rendait hommage avec des offrandes. Les vestiges d'une forteresse préhistorique sont encore visibles aujourd'hui sur la montagne. Sur le parcours circulaire, on retourne ensuite au point de départ de la randonnée à Roßdorf.

The circular hiking trail starts in the beautiful village of Roßdorf, which especially fascinates visitors with the castle in the village center. The castle was first mentioned in a document in the year 780. Starting from the village center, you walk southwest along the hiking trail beneath the Nebelberg (533m). If you want, you can also take an alternative route over the Nebelberg. The trail continues past Roßhof. Slightly further along you reach the abandoned Kohlbachhof farmstead. The Rhönpaulus, the Rhön Robin Hood, lived here in his youth. The residents of the farm were forcibly relocated in 1972 and the buildings were demolished. After the Kohlbachhof ruins you reach the Gotteskopf (576m) via the circular hiking trail. The mountain is not named without reason - it was the seat of the ancient Germanic gods (Asen and Wanen). At that time they were also honoured there with offerings. Remains of a prehistoric fortified settlement can still be seen on the mountain today. On the circular trail, you now walk back to the starting point of the route at Roßdorf.

Der  Rundwandeweg startet im schönen Ort Roßdorf, welches die Besucher besonders mit dem Schloss im Ortskern begeistert. Das Schloß wurde bereits im Jahr 780 das erstemal urkundlich erwähnt.  Ausgehend von dem Ortskern läuft man auf dem Wanderweg in südwestliche Richtung unterhalb des Nebelbergs (533m) entlang. Wer möchte, kann auf einer alternativen Strecke auch über den Nebelberg laufen. Weiter führt der Verlauf am Roßhof vorbei. Etwas später im Wegverlauf gelangt man zu der Wüstung des Kohlbachhofs. In seinen Jugendjahren lebte hier der Rhönpaulus, der Rhöner Robin Hood. Die Bewohner des Hofs wurden im Jahr 1972 zwangsumgesiedelt und die Gebäude geschliffen. Nach der Wüstung des Kohlbachhofs gelangt man über den Rundwanderweg zum Gotteskopf (576m). Der Berg trägt seinen Namen nicht ohne Grund - war hier doch der Sitz der altgermanischen Götter (Asen und Wanen). Diese wurden seiner Zeit auch dort mit Opfergaben gehuldigt. Reste einer vorgeschichtlichen Wallburg sind noch heute auf dem Berg zu erkennen. Auf dem Rundweg läuft man nun wieder zum Ausgangspunkt der Tour zurück nach Roßdorf.

Die B19 wird bei Schwallungen verlassen und man folgt von dort aus der Beschilderung bis nach Roßdorf.
