About: Piste cyclable Main Werra - De Schweinfurt à Obermaßfeld, Main Werra Radweg - Von Schweinfurt bis Meiningen, Main Werra cycle route - from Schweinfurt to Meiningen

La piste cyclable Main Werra est signalée à Schweinfurt à partir de la gare principale ou de la piste cyclable du Main, permettant un accès confortable et facile à l’itinéraire. Le parcours longe au départ la haute vallée de la Wern puis franchit une petite crête. Passant devant la chapelle baroque Thalkapelle, on atteint Münnerstadt en Henneberg. La porte supérieure accueille les cyclistes, mais on accède à la ville par la tout aussi intéressante porte Jörg. On suit ensuite la rivière Lauer jusqu'à la Fränkische Saale, puis on traverse le parc thermal de Bad Neustadt. La Fränkische Saale accompagne encore quelques kilomètres la route, puis on suit la vallée de la Streu jusqu’à Mellrichstadt, l’une des plus anciennes villes de la région. Suivant le signal du Main-Werra Radweg, on arrive à la destination de la route : Obermaßfeld, dans la belle vallée de la Werra.

Der Main Werra Radweg ist in Schweinfurt ab dem Hauptbahnhof bzw. dem Mainradweg ausgeschildert, sodass ein bequemer und guter Einstieg in die Strecke möglich ist. Der Fernradweg verläuft am Start der Tour durch das obere Werntal und überquert danach einen kleinen Höhenzug. Vorbei an der barocken Thalkapelle gelangt man auf dem Weg zum hennebergischen Münnerstadt. Das Oberen Tor begrüßt die Radfahrer - die Stadt erreicht man aber durch das nicht minder sehenswerte Jörgentor. Entlang der Lauer fährt man nun zur Fränkischen Saale und danach durch den Kurpark von Bad Neustadt. Noch einige Kilometer begleitet die Fränkische Saale die Route, dann fährt man im Tal der Streu bis nach Mellrichstadt, das auch zu den ältesten Städten in der Region zählt. Dem Zeichen des Main Werra Radwegs folgend gelangt man zum Ziel der Tour - der Theaterstadt Meiningen im schönen Werratal.

The Main Werra cycling route is signposted in Schweinfurt from the main station or the Main cycle route, making a convenient and good entry to the route possible. The long-distance cycle path runs at the start of the route through the upper Werntal and then crosses a small ridge. Passing the baroque Thal chapel, you get onto the way to the Henneberg town of Münnerstadt. The Oberes Tor welcomes the cyclists - however, the town is reached through the equally worth-seeing Jörgentor. Along the Lauer, you now cycle to the Franconian Saale and then through the spa park of Bad Neustadt. The Franconian Saale accompanies the route for a few more kilometers, then you cycle in the valley of the Streu to Mellrichstadt, which is also one of the oldest towns in the region. Following the sign of the Rfw Main-Werra, you reach the tour's destination - theater city Meiningen in the beautiful Werra valley.
