thuecat:directions @de Als Ausgangspunkt empfiehlt sich die Ortslage von Setzelbach. Hier führt ein Feldweg zunächst nach Süden und dann nach Westen. Über diesen erreicht man den Karnhof. Um die Autostraße von Setzelbach nach Haselstein zu vermeiden, wandert man ein Stück desselben Weges zurück und überquert die Straße am Waldrand. Der Weg führt durch die Völlmerau am Stielerhof vorbei zum Bildstock an der Straße Rasdorf - Setzelbach. Hier befindet man sich in unmittelbarer Nähe des ehemaligen Todesstreifens der innerdeutschen Grenzanlagen. Auf dem für die Grenzkontrollfahrten der Militärfahrzeuge der DDR gebauten Kolonnenweg wandert man an der hessisch - thüringischen Grenze entlang zum Steinkreuz an der Straße Rasdorf—Setzelbach. Am nördlichen Ortsrand führt der Weg zum Setzelbacher Friedhof mit seinem ganz besonders schön gestalteten Steinkreuz. Anschließend wandert man zum Bildstock des St. Wendelinus in der Ortslage von Setzelbach und dann wieder zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.  Die Wanderführung kann hier als GPX-Code heruntergeladen werden.
thuecat:directions @fr Le point de départ recommandé est le village de Setzelbach. Un chemin de terre part d’abord vers le sud, puis vers l’ouest. Par là, on atteint la ferme Karnhof. Pour éviter la route de Setzelbach à Haselstein, on revient sur un court tronçon du même chemin et on traverse la route à la lisière de la forêt. Le chemin passe par la Völlmerau, près de la ferme Stielerhof, jusqu’au calvaire sur la route Rasdorf - Setzelbach. Ici, vous vous trouvez à proximité immédiate de l’ancienne bande de la mort des installations frontalières intérieures allemandes. Sur la route militaire construite pour les contrôles des véhicules militaires de la RDA, on longe la frontière entre la Hesse et la Thuringe jusqu’à la croix en pierre sur la route Rasdorf—Setzelbach. À la limite nord du village, le chemin mène au cimetière de Setzelbach avec sa croix en pierre particulièrement belle. Ensuite, on randonne jusqu’au calvaire de Saint Wendelin dans le village de Setzelbach, puis on revient au point de départ. Le parcours de randonnée peut être téléchargé ici sous forme de code GPX.

The path leads through the Völlmerau past the Stielerhof to the image stock on the Rasdorf - Setzelbach road. Here you are in the immediate vicinity of the former death strip of the inner-German border installations. On the convoy road built for border control drives of the GDR military vehicles, you hike along the Hessian-Thuringian border to the stone cross on the Rasdorf—Setzelbach road. At the northern edge of the village, the path leads to the Setzelbach cemetery with its particularly beautifully designed stone cross. Then you hike to the image stock of St. Wendelinus in the village of Setzelbach and then back to the starting point.  The hiking route can be downloaded here as a GPX file.

Um die Autostraße von Setzelbach nach Haselstein zu vermeiden, wandert man ein Stück desselben Weges zurück und überquert die Straße am Waldrand. Der Weg führt durch die Völlmerau am Stielerhof vorbei zum Bildstock an der Straße Rasdorf - Setzelbach. Hier befindet man sich in unmittelbarer Nähe des ehemaligen Todesstreifens der innerdeutschen Grenzanlagen. Auf dem für die Grenzkontrollfahrten der Militärfahrzeuge der DDR gebauten Kolonnenweg wandert man an der hessisch - thüringischen Grenze entlang zum Steinkreuz an der Straße Rasdorf—Setzelbach. Am nördlichen Ortsrand führt der Weg zum Setzelbacher Friedhof mit seinem ganz besonders schön gestalteten Steinkreuz. Anschließend wandert man zum Bildstock des St. Wendelinus in der Ortslage von Setzelbach und dann wieder zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.  Die Wanderführung kann hier als GPX-Code heruntergeladen werden.
