Von der Thüringer Hütte aus verläuft der Weg durch offene Winterlandschaft in Richtung Schornhecke nahe der hessisch-bayerischen Grenze und bietet einen eindrucksvollen Ausblick über die verschneite Lange Rhön. Eine Einkehrmöglichkeit zur Stärkung und Wärmung bietet die Thüringer Hütte.

Depuis la Thuringer Hütte, le parcours traverse un paysage hivernal ouvert en direction de Schornhecke, près de la frontière hesso-bavaroise, offrant une vue impressionnante sur la Rhön longue et enneigée Lange Rhön. Un lieu pour se restaurer et se réchauffer est proposé par la Thuringer Hütte.
