Le sentier ElsterWasserWeg mène entre la ville de Plauen et le barrage de Pöhl sur environ 11 kilomètres à travers des paysages uniques. Des points forts comme le pont de la vallée de l’Elster - le deuxième plus grand pont en briques du monde, la plus grande fauconnerie d'Allemagne de l’Est Herrmann, la mer du Vogtland, le barrage de Pöhl ainsi que la réserve naturelle impressionnante Triebtal offrent à la fois diversité et détente.  L'élément liant, l'eau, avec toutes ses facettes, la Weiße Elster, le barrage de Pöhl, le Trieb et le Kaltenbach dans la vallée des Nymphes, constitue une expérience impressionnante et variée le long du sentier de randonnée. Veuillez noter : le pont de la vallée de l’Elster est probablement fermé à la circulation piétonne jusqu'à mi-2026 en raison de travaux de construction.

The ElsterWasserWeg leads between the model city Plauen and the Pöhl Reservoir over about 11 kilometers through unique landscapes. Highlights such as the Elstertal Bridge - the second-largest brick bridge in the world, eastern Germany's largest falconry Hermann, the Vogtland Sea Pöhl Reservoir, and the impressive Trieb Valley nature reserve offer variety and deceleration at the same time.  The connecting element water, with all its facets, with the White Elster, the Pöhl Reservoir, the Trieb, and the Kaltenbach in Nymphental, is an impressive and varied experience along the hiking trail. Please note: The Elstertal Bridge is expected to be inaccessible due to construction work until mid-2026.

Der ElsterWasserWeg führt zwischen der Spitzenstadt Plauen und dem Gebiet der Gemeinde Pöhl auf rund 11 Kilometern durch einzigartige Landschaften. Highlights wie die Elstertalbrücke - die zweitgrößte Ziegelsteinbrücke der Welt, Ostdeutschlands größte Falknerei Herrmann, das Vogtländische Meer Talsperre Pöhl, das imponierende Naturschutzgebiet Triebtal sowie das wildromantische Nymphental bieten Abwechslung und Entschleunigung zugleich.  Das verbindende Element Wasser ist mit der Weißen Elster, der Talsperre Pöhl, der Trieb und dem Kaltenbach ein eindrucksvolles und abwechslungsreiches Erlebnis entlang des Wanderweges.

thuecat:directions @fr Le charmant Elstersteigen ElsterWasserWeg (anciennement découverte de la nature Plauen - barrage de Pöhl, temps de marche 2 heures) commence au parking en face de la restauration de la maison forestière Reißig. De là, il n'y a que quelques minutes à pied jusqu'à la fauconnerie Herrmann. Une visite à la plus grande fauconnerie d'Allemagne de l’Est est incontournable. Lors du spectacle aérien, avec des piqués spectaculaires de faucons, le vol majestueux des aigles haut dans le ciel et le vol silencieux des hiboux, on ressent un frisson intense. Le sentier mène ensuite vers le centre environnemental de Pfaffengut. Un petit détour s’offre car on y apprend entre autres des histoires sur la vie autrefois au domaine et des informations intéressantes sur la nature, les quatre éléments et les types de roches du Vogtland. Avant de quitter le Pfaffengut, on peut y admirer deux chats sauvages Wilma et Walli sur le sentier d'expérience Wildkatzensprung lors de leur découverte. En descendant la vallée, on atteint le ferme historique Lochbauer, une ferme à trois côtés construite en 1648, invitant à une pause dans un cadre pittoresque. Requinqué, on traverse à pied le clapotant Weiße Elster par la passerelle en bois – un superbe motif photo ! Après une montée à travers la forêt, on peut laisser son regard vagabonder sur le beau paysage de collines vogtlandaises et on marche à travers les champs vers l’Eisenberg haut de 432 mètres jusqu’à la tour Julius-Mosen. Monter à la tour est récompensé par une vue panoramique grandiose sur le barrage de Pöhl et le paysage verdoyant de collines moyennes du Vogtland avec la vallée de l'Elster et le pont de la vallée de l’Elster jusqu'aux monts métallifères occidentaux. Après quelques minutes, on a depuis le point d'observation Friedenshöhe une vue magnifique sur le pont de la vallée de l’Elster, le rocher Loreley et Jocketa, avant de passer par la prairie des pyramides dans la zone protégée du paysage Triebtal. Le clapotis du Trieb et le bruissement des feuilles assurent une vraie détente. On passe la plus grande douglasie du Triebtal, des pierres couvertes de mousse et des rochers escarpés, avant d'apercevoir le pont de la vallée de l’Elster, le deuxième plus grand pont en briques du monde, dans toute sa splendeur. Note : En raison des travaux sur le pont de la vallée de l’Elster (probablement jusqu'à mi-2026), le sentier ne passe actuellement pas par ce pont mais d'abord par Jocketa puis redescend dans la vallée de la Weiße Elster, traversée par le pont à Barthmühle. De l'autre côté de la rivière, le chemin passe par une arche du pont de la vallée de l’Elster et longe le sentier panoramique du Vogtland® (sentier de qualité recommandé par Wanderbares Deutschland) jusqu'à la chaire du diable – un rocher vert remarquable. De là, le chemin bifurque vers la vallée idyllique des Nymphes. Le long du Kaltenbach, on monte vers la auberge de la Pfaffenmühle avec sa bière rustique et son jardin convivial. Autre note : En raison de la fermeture du pont sur le Kaltenbach, le chemin passe alternativement par Röttis et la Pfaffengutstraße jusqu'à la Pfaffenmühle et ne traverse pas actuellement la vallée des Nymphes. Après une pause à la Pfaffenmühle, vous pouvez rentrer vers le point de départ à travers la forêt urbaine et via le sentier des animaux sauvages ou poursuivre la recommandation avec une excursion vers la station thermale officiellement reconnue Jößnitz. Le lieu au développement historique charme avec un vieux centre de village, plusieurs maisons à colombages, d'anciennes fermes avec jardins et maisons à ossature en colombage datant de la première moitié du XVIIe siècle, un château et un parc du château. À la gare de Jößnitz, il est possible de revenir en Vogtlandbahn.

From here it's only a few minutes' walk to Falconry Hermann. A visit to eastern Germany's largest falconry is not to be missed. During the flight show, with spectacular dives of falcons, the majestic flight of eagles high in the sky, and the silent hovering of owls, one experiences pure goosebumps. The hiking trail now leads towards the Pfaffengut Environmental and Nature Conservation Center. A short detour is worthwhile to learn stories about life on the manor and interesting facts about nature, the four elements, and the rock types of Vogtland. Before leaving Pfaffengut, you can admire the two wildcats Wilma and Walli on the Wildcat Jump Adventure Trail on their discovery tour. Following the trail downhill, you reach the historic Lochbauer Farm, a three-sided courtyard built in 1648 that invites you to rest in a picturesque setting. Refreshed, you now cross the babbling White Elster over the wooden bridge – a great photo motive! After a climb through the forest, you can let your gaze wander over the beautiful Vogtland hilly landscape and walk along fields up to the 432-meter-high Eisenberg to the Julius Mosen Tower. Climbing the tower is rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of the Pöhl Reservoir and the lush green central Vogtland hilly landscape with the Elster Valley and the Elstertal Bridge all the way to the Western Ore Mountains. After a few minutes, you have a wonderful view at the next Peace Hill viewpoint towards the Elstertal Bridge, the Loreley Rock, and to Jocketa, before you enter the Trieb Valley Landscape Protection Area via the Pyramid Meadow. The babbling of the Trieb and the rustling of the leaves offer pure relaxation. You pass the largest Douglas fir in the Trieb Valley, mossy stones, and rugged rocks before you see the Elstertal Bridge, the second-largest brick bridge in the world, in its full splendor. Note: Due to construction work on the Elstertal Bridge (expected until mid-2026), the hiking trail currently does not lead over the Elstertal Bridge but first to Jocketa and from there back down into the valley of the White Elster, which is crossed over the bridge in Barthmühle. On the other side of the river, the path goes through an archway under the Elstertal Bridge and along the Vogtland Panorama Trail® (an official quality route of Wanderbares Deutschland) to the Devil's Pulpit – a striking greenstone rock. Here the trail turns off into the idyllic Nymphental. Along the Kaltenbach creek, it goes uphill to the Pfaffenmühle excursion inn with a cozy rustic beer garden. Further note: Due to the closure of the bridge over the Kaltenbach, the path currently leads alternatively via Röttis and Pfaffengutstraße to Pfaffenmühle and not through Nymphental. After a break at Pfaffenmühle, you can take the return path to the starting point through the city forest and the wildlife trail or alternatively continue the recommended route to the state-recognized resort Jößnitz. The historically grown place enchants with an old village center, various half-timbered buildings, old farmhouses with gardens, and the timber-framed house from the first half of the 17th century, a castle, and a castle park. At the Jößnitz train station, it is possible to start the return journey with the Vogtlandbahn.

Von hier aus sind es nur wenige Gehminuten zur Falknerei Herrmann. Einen Abstecher zu Ostdeutschlands größter Falknerei sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Bei der Flugshow, mit spektakulären Sturzflügen von Falken, dem majestätischen Flug der Adler hoch am Himmel und dem lautlosen Schweben der Eulen, erlebt man Gänsehautfeeling pur. Der Wanderweg führt nun Richtung Umwelt- und Naturschutzzentrum Pfaffengut. Ein kurzer Abzweig dorthin bietet sich an, denn im Idyll erfährt man unter anderem Geschichten über das einstige Leben auf dem Gutshof und Interessantes über die Natur, die vier Elemente und die Gesteinsarten des Vogtlandes. Bevor man das Pfaffengut wieder verlässt, kann man dort die zwei Wildkatzen Wilma und Walli auf dem Erlebnispfad Wildkatzensprung auf deren Entdeckungstour beobachten. Dem Wanderweg talabwärts folgend, gelangt man zum historischen Lochbauer, einen im Jahr 1648 erbauten Dreiseithof, der zu einer Rast in malerischer Umgebung einlädt. Frisch gestärkt überquert man nun die plätschernde Weiße Elster über die Holzbrücke – ein tolles Fotomotiv! Nach einem Anstieg durch den Wald kann man seinen Blick über die schöne vogtländische Kuppenlandschaft schweifen lassen und wandert entlang von Feldern auf den 432 Meter hohen Eisenberg zum Julius-Mosen-Turm. Das Erklimmen des Turmes wird mit einem grandiosen Rundumblick auf die Talsperre Pöhl und die sattgrüne mittelvogtländische Kuppenlandschaft mit dem Elstertal und der Elstertalbrücke bis hin zum Westerzgebirge belohnt. Nach wenigen Minuten hat man am nächsten Aussichtspunkt Friedenshöhe einen wunderbaren Blick zur Elstertalbrücke, zum Loreleyfelsen und nach Jocketa, bevor man über die Pyramidenwiese ins Landschaftsschutzgebiet Triebtal gelangt. Das Plätschern der Trieb und das Rauschen des Laubes bieten Entschleunigung pur. Vorbei geht es an der größten Douglasie im Triebtal (knapp 50 Meter hoch), bemoosten Steinen und schroffen Felsen, bevor man die Elstertalbrücke, die zweitgrößte Ziegelsteinbrücke der Welt, in ihrer vollen Pracht erblickt. Der Wanderweg führt nun direkt über die Elstertalbrücke. Von hier aus kann man den Blick über das liebliche Tal der Weißen Elster schweifen lassen. Auf der anderen Flussseite geht es durch einen Bogen der Elstertalbrücke hindurch und entlang des Vogtland Panorama Weges® (ausgezeichneter Qualitätsweg Wanderbares Deutschland) zur Teufelskanzel – ein markanter Grünsteinfelsen. Hier biegt der Weg  ins idyllische Nymphental ab. Am Kaltenbach entlang geht es hinauf zur Ausflugsgaststätte Pfaffenmühle mit gemütlich-rustikalen Biergarten. Nach einer Rast in der Pfaffenmühle  kann man über den Stadtwald und den Wildtierpfad den Rückweg zum Ausgangspunkt antreten. Alternativ setzt man die empfehlenswerte Tour zum staatlich anerkannten Erholungsort Jößnitz fort. Der historisch gewachsene Ort verzaubert mit altem Dorfkern, verschiedenen Fachwerkbauten, historischen Bauernhäusern mit Hausgärten und dem Umgebindehaus aus der ersten Hälfte des 17. Jahrhunderts sowie Schloss und Schlosspark. Am Bahnhof Jößnitz besteht die Möglichkeit mit der Vogtlandbahn die Rückreise anzutreten. Bevor man das Pfaffengut wieder verlässt, kann man dort die zwei Wildkatzen Wilma und Walli auf dem <b>Erlebnispfad Wildkatzensprung</b> auf deren Entdeckungstour beobachten.</p> <p>Dem Wanderweg talabwärts folgend, gelangt man zum <b>historischen Lochbauer</b>, einen im Jahr 1648 erbauten Dreiseithof, der zu einer Rast in malerischer Umgebung einlädt.</p> <p>Frisch gestärkt überquert man nun die plätschernde <b>Weiße Elster</b> über die Holzbrücke – ein tolles Fotomotiv!</p> <p>Nach einem Anstieg durch den Wald kann man seinen Blick über die schöne vogtländische Kuppenlandschaft schweifen lassen und wandert entlang von Feldern auf den 432 Meter hohen Eisenberg zum <b>Julius-Mosen-Turm</b><b>. </b>Das Erklimmen des Turmes wird mit einem grandiosen Rundumblick auf die Talsperre Pöhl und die sattgrüne mittelvogtländische Kuppenlandschaft mit dem Elstertal und der Elstertalbrücke bis hin zum Westerzgebirge belohnt.</p> <p>Nach wenigen Minuten hat man am nächsten <b>Aussichtspunkt Friedenshöhe</b> einen wunderbaren Blick zur <b>Elstertalbrücke</b>, zum <b>Loreleyfelsen</b> und nach <b>Jocketa</b>, bevor man über die Pyramidenwiese ins <b>Landschaftsschutzgebiet Triebtal</b> gelangt. Das Plätschern der Trieb und das Rauschen des Laubes bieten Entschleunigung pur. Vorbei geht es an der größten Douglasie im Triebtal (knapp 50 Meter hoch), bemoosten Steinen und schroffen Felsen, bevor man die Elstertalbrücke, die zweitgrößte Ziegelsteinbrücke der Welt, in ihrer vollen Pracht erblickt.</p> <p>Der Wanderweg führt nun direkt über die Elstertalbrücke. Von hier aus kann man den Blick über das liebliche Tal der Weißen Elster schweifen lassen.</p> <p>Auf der anderen Flussseite geht es durch einen Bogen der Elstertalbrücke hindurch und entlang des <b>Vogtland Panorama Weges®</b> (ausgezeichneter Qualitätsweg Wanderbares Deutschland) zur <b>Teufelskanzel</b> – ein markanter Grünsteinfelsen. Hier biegt der Weg  ins <b>idyllische Nymphental</b> ab. Am Kaltenbach entlang geht es hinauf zur <b>Ausflugsgaststätte Pfaffenmühle</b> mit gemütlich-rustikalen Biergarten.</p> <p>Nach einer Rast in der Pfaffenmühle  kann man über den Stadtwald und den Wildtierpfad den Rückweg zum Ausgangspunkt antreten.</p> <p> Alternativ setzt man die empfehlenswerte Tour zum <b>staatlich anerkannten Erholungsort Jößnitz</b> fort. Der historisch gewachsene Ort verzaubert mit altem Dorfkern, verschiedenen Fachwerkbauten, historischen Bauernhäusern mit Hausgärten und dem Umgebindehaus aus der ersten Hälfte des 17. Jahrhunderts sowie Schloss und Schlosspark. Am Bahnhof Jößnitz besteht die Möglichkeit mit der Vogtlandbahn die Rückreise anzutreten. De là, il n'y a que quelques minutes à pied jusqu'à la <strong>fauconnerie Herrmann</strong>. Une visite à la plus grande fauconnerie d'Allemagne de l’Est est incontournable. Lors du spectacle aérien, avec des piqués spectaculaires de faucons, le vol majestueux des aigles haut dans le ciel et le vol silencieux des hiboux, on ressent un frisson intense.</p> <p>Le sentier mène ensuite vers le <strong>centre environnemental de Pfaffengut</strong>. Un petit détour s’offre car on y apprend entre autres des histoires sur la vie autrefois au domaine et des informations intéressantes sur la nature, les quatre éléments et les types de roches du Vogtland. Avant de quitter le Pfaffengut, on peut y admirer deux chats sauvages Wilma et Walli sur le <strong>sentier d'expérience Wildkatzensprung</strong> lors de leur découverte.</p> <p>En descendant la vallée, on atteint le <strong>ferme historique Lochbauer</strong>, une ferme à trois côtés construite en 1648, invitant à une pause dans un cadre pittoresque.</p> <p>Requinqué, on traverse à pied le clapotant <strong>Weiße Elster</strong> par la passerelle en bois – un superbe motif photo !</p> <p>Après une montée à travers la forêt, on peut laisser son regard vagabonder sur le beau paysage de collines vogtlandaises et on marche à travers les champs vers l’Eisenberg haut de 432 mètres jusqu’à la <strong>tour Julius-Mosen</strong>. Monter à la tour est récompensé par une vue panoramique grandiose sur le barrage de Pöhl et le paysage verdoyant de collines moyennes du Vogtland avec la vallée de l'Elster et le pont de la vallée de l’Elster jusqu'aux monts métallifères occidentaux.</p> <p>Après quelques minutes, on a depuis le <strong>point d'observation Friedenshöhe</strong> une vue magnifique sur le <strong>pont de la vallée de l’Elster</strong>, le <strong>rocher Loreley</strong> et Jocketa, avant de passer par la prairie des pyramides dans la <strong>zone protégée du paysage Triebtal</strong>. Le clapotis du Trieb et le bruissement des feuilles assurent une vraie détente. On passe la plus grande douglasie du Triebtal, des pierres couvertes de mousse et des rochers escarpés, avant d'apercevoir le pont de la vallée de l’Elster, le deuxième plus grand pont en briques du monde, dans toute sa splendeur.</p> <p><strong>Note</strong> : En raison des travaux sur le pont de la vallée de l’Elster (probablement jusqu'à mi-2026), le sentier ne passe actuellement pas par ce pont mais d'abord par Jocketa puis redescend dans la vallée de la Weiße Elster, traversée par le pont à Barthmühle. De l'autre côté de la rivière, le chemin passe par une arche du pont de la vallée de l’Elster et longe le <strong>sentier panoramique du Vogtland®</strong> (sentier de qualité recommandé par Wanderbares Deutschland) jusqu'à la <strong>chaire du diable</strong> – un rocher vert remarquable. De là, le chemin bifurque vers la <strong>vallée idyllique des Nymphes</strong>. Le long du Kaltenbach, on monte vers la <strong>auberge de la Pfaffenmühle</strong> avec sa bière rustique et son jardin convivial.</p> <p> <strong>Autre note :</strong> En raison de la fermeture du pont sur le Kaltenbach, le chemin passe alternativement par Röttis et la Pfaffengutstraße jusqu'à la Pfaffenmühle et ne traverse pas actuellement la vallée des Nymphes.</p> <p>Après une pause à la Pfaffenmühle, vous pouvez rentrer vers le point de départ à travers la forêt urbaine et via le sentier des animaux sauvages ou poursuivre la recommandation avec une excursion vers la <strong>station thermale officiellement reconnue Jößnitz</strong>. Le lieu au développement historique charme avec un vieux centre de village, plusieurs maisons à colombages, d'anciennes fermes avec jardins et maisons à ossature en colombage datant de la première moitié du XVIIe siècle, un château et un parc du château. À la gare de Jößnitz, il est possible de revenir en Vogtlandbahn.</p>

During the flight show, with spectacular dives of falcons, the majestic flight of eagles high in the sky, and the silent hovering of owls, one experiences pure goosebumps.</p> <p>The hiking trail now leads towards the <strong>Pfaffengut Environmental and Nature Conservation Center</strong>. A short detour is worthwhile to learn stories about life on the manor and interesting facts about nature, the four elements, and the rock types of Vogtland. Before leaving Pfaffengut, you can admire the two wildcats Wilma and Walli on the <strong>Wildcat Jump Adventure Trail</strong> on their discovery tour.</p> <p>Following the trail downhill, you reach the <strong>historic Lochbauer Farm</strong>, a three-sided courtyard built in 1648 that invites you to rest in a picturesque setting.</p> <p>Refreshed, you now cross the babbling <strong>White Elster</strong> over the wooden bridge – a great photo motive!</p> <p>After a climb through the forest, you can let your gaze wander over the beautiful Vogtland hilly landscape and walk along fields up to the 432-meter-high Eisenberg to the <strong>Julius Mosen Tower</strong>. Climbing the tower is rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of the Pöhl Reservoir and the lush green central Vogtland hilly landscape with the Elster Valley and the Elstertal Bridge all the way to the Western Ore Mountains.</p> <p>After a few minutes, you have a wonderful view at the next <strong>Peace Hill viewpoint</strong> towards the <strong>Elstertal Bridge</strong>, the <strong>Loreley Rock</strong>, and to <strong>Jocketa</strong>, before you enter the <strong>Trieb Valley Landscape Protection Area</strong> via the Pyramid Meadow. The babbling of the Trieb and the rustling of the leaves offer pure relaxation. You pass the largest Douglas fir in the Trieb Valley, mossy stones, and rugged rocks before you see the Elstertal Bridge, the second-largest brick bridge in the world, in its full splendor.</p> <p><strong>Note</strong>: Due to construction work on the Elstertal Bridge (expected until mid-2026), the hiking trail currently does not lead over the Elstertal Bridge but first to Jocketa and from there back down into the valley of the White Elster, which is crossed over the bridge in Barthmühle. On the other side of the river, the path goes through an archway under the Elstertal Bridge and along the <strong>Vogtland Panorama Trail®</strong> (an official quality route of Wanderbares Deutschland) to the <strong>Devil's Pulpit</strong> – a striking greenstone rock. Here the trail turns off into the <strong>idyllic Nymphental</strong>. Along the Kaltenbach creek, it goes uphill to the <strong>Pfaffenmühle excursion inn</strong> with a cozy rustic beer garden.</p> <p> <strong>Further note:</strong> Due to the closure of the bridge over the Kaltenbach, the path currently leads alternatively via Röttis and Pfaffengutstraße to Pfaffenmühle and not through Nymphental.</p> <p>After a break at Pfaffenmühle, you can take the return path to the starting point through the city forest and the wildlife trail or alternatively continue the recommended route to the <strong>state-recognized resort Jößnitz</strong>. The historically grown place enchants with an old village center, various half-timbered buildings, old farmhouses with gardens, and the timber-framed house from the first half of the 17th century, a castle, and a castle park. At the Jößnitz train station, it is possible to start the return journey with the Vogtlandbahn.</p>
