Depuis des centaines d'années, des roues à eau tournent dans la vallée de la Weida dans le Vogtland saxon-thuringien, actionnant de nombreux moulins. Il s'agissait principalement de moulins à couper et à moudre. Mais il y avait aussi des moulins à foulon, à tan, à os, à huile, à papier et à marteau. Autrefois, il y avait plus de 100 moulins dans le bassin versant de la Weida, qui donnaient du travail et du pain aux gens. Malheureusement, ils ont en grande partie succombé à la "mort des moulins". Afin de les garder en mémoire pour les générations futures, le sentier circulaire "Mühlenkreisel" informe à l'aide de panneaux d'information sur les moulins d'autrefois et leur importance à cette époque. Le projet "Wasserläufer" est un nouveau projet de randonnée qui crée de nouveaux sentiers circulaires sur le réseau de randonnée existant. Les sentiers circulaires sont continuellement développés afin d'offrir une offre de randonnée de haute qualité.

For hundreds of years, water wheels turned in the Weida valley of the Saxon-Thuringian Vogtland and powered numerous mills. These were mainly cutting and grinding mills. But fulling, tanning, bone, oil, paper, and hammer mills were also present. At one time, there were over 100 mills in the Weida catchment area, providing people with work and bread. Unfortunately, most fell victim to the "mill die-off." To keep these mills remembered for posterity, the circular hiking trail "Mühlenkreisel" informs via information boards about the former mills and their significance in past times. The "Wasserläufer" project is a new hiking project that creates new circular trails on the existing hiking network. The circular hiking trails are continuously developed to offer a high-quality hiking experience.

Seit hunderten von Jahren drehten sich im Weidatal des sächsich-thüringischen Vogtlandes Wasserräder und trieben zahlreiche Mühlen an. Dies waren hauptsächlich Schneide- und Mahlmühlen. Aber auch Walk-, Loh-, Knochen-, Öl-, Papier- und Hammermühlen waren vorhanden. Einst befanden sich über 100 Mühlen im Einzugsgebiet der Weida, die den Menschen Arbeit und Brot gaben. Leider fielen sie größtenteils den „Mühlensterben“ zum Opfer. Um diese für die Nachwelt in Erinnerung zu behalten, informiert der Rundwanderweg "Zum Teufelsberg" mittels Infotafeln über die einstigen Mühlen und deren Bedeutung in vergangenen Zeiten. Das Projekt der "Wasserläufer" ist ein neues Wanderprojekt, bei dem neue Rundwege auf dem bestehenden Wandernetz geschaffen werden. Die Rundwanderwege werden stetig weiterentwickelt um ein hochwertiges Wanderangebot zu bieten.
