Der liebliche Ort Kleinfahner war einst Wirkungsstätte von Pfarrer Sickler, der hier vor mehr als 230 Jahren den mitteleuropäischen Obstbau wirtschaftlich kultiviert hat. Ausgedehnte Obstplantagen mit Stein- und Kernobst, bestimmen die offene Landschaft am Fuße der Fahner Höhe. Im Gemeindehaus "Rautenkranz" widmet sich ein kleines Museum der Geschichte des wirtschaftlichen Obstanbaus im Fahner Land. Die Fahner Mühle beherbergt neben einer aufwändig samierten Bockwindmühle ein Restaurant in exponierter Lage. Von hier aus lässt sich weit über das Thüringer Kernbecken blicken. Das weitläufige und halbschattige Gelände mit Spielplatz lädt zum Verweilen ein. Ein großer Parkplatz steht zur freien Verfügung. Oberhalb des Ortes, am Kammweg der Fahner Höhe gelegen, befindet sich die Bienstädter Warte. Der alte Wartturm war einst Teil des äußeren Befestigungssystems der Stadt Erfurt und warnte die Bürger bei herannahender Gefahr. Vom Wartpunkt hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick über das Gothaer Land hin zum Thüringer Wald.

Le charmant village de Kleinfahner a été autrefois le lieu d'activité du pasteur Sickler, qui a cultivé économiquement la culture fruitière en Europe centrale il y a plus de 230 ans. De vastes vergers de fruits à noyau et à pépins caractérisent le paysage ouvert au pied de la Fahner Höhe. Dans la maison communale "Rautenkranz", un petit musée est consacré à l'histoire de la culture fruitière économique dans le Fahner Land. Le Moulin de Fahner abrite, en plus d'un moulin à aubier restauré avec soin, un restaurant situé en position privilégiée. De là, on peut admirer une vue étendue sur le bassin central de Thuringe. Le terrain vaste et mi-ombragé avec aire de jeux invite à la détente. Un grand parking est à disposition gratuitement. Au-dessus du village, situé sur le chemin de crête de la Fahner Höhe, se trouve la Bienstädter Warte. L'ancienne tour de guet faisait autrefois partie du système de fortifications extérieures de la ville d'Erfurt et alertait les habitants en cas de danger imminent. Du point de guet, on bénéficie d'une vue époustouflante sur la région de Gotha jusqu'à la forêt de Thuringe.

The extensive and partially shaded area with a playground invites you to linger. A large parking lot is freely available. Above the village, located on the ridge path of the Fahner Höhe, is the Bienstädter Warte. The old watchtower was once part of the outer defense system of the city of Erfurt and warned citizens of approaching danger. From the watch point, there is a breathtaking view over the Gotha region towards the Thuringian Forest.
