Dieser kurze Radweg führt durch die schöne Rhöner Landschaft. Da der Radweg teils auf der ehemaligen Bahnstrecke von Wenigentaft nach Oechsen liegt, hieß der Weg früher Oechsenbahn-Radweg. Mittlerweile ist er aber als Emberg Radweg bekannt. Ausgehend von Buttlar verläuft die Strecke entlang der ehemaligen Oechsenbahn. Diese diente dem Abtransport von Bergbau-Erzeugnissen und wurde bereits in 1952 stillgelegt. Somit sind die ersten zehn Kilometer auf den Radweg asphaltiert und trotz des kontinuierlichen leichten Anstiegs angenehm zu fahren. Dabei fährt man durch die wunderschöne Mittelgebirgslandschaft der Thüringer Rhön. In Oechsen endet der Abschnitt des Radwegs, der auf der ehemaligen Bahntrasse verläuft. Von hier an führt der Weg hinauf zur Emberghütte. Von dort eröffnet sich ein unglaublicher Blick in das Feldatal, in welches der Radweg anschließend auch führt. Bei der Bergabfahrt ist aufmerksames und vorsichtiges Fahren geboten. Kurze Zeit später gelangt man auch schon zum Ziel des Radwegs, dem Ort Dermbach. Durch den Emberg Radweg ist die Verbindung mit zwischen dem Feldatal Radweg und dem Rhön Radweg möglich, welches tolle Rundtouren ermöglicht.

Ce court parcours cyclable traverse la belle région de la Rhön. Comme le tracé se trouve en partie sur l’ancienne voie ferrée de Wenigentaft à Oechsen, ce parcours s’appelait auparavant le sentier cyclable de la ligne ferroviaire d’Oechsen. Aujourd’hui, il est connu sous le nom de parcours cyclable Emberg. Partant de Buttlar, la piste suit l’ancienne ligne d’Oechsen, qui servait au transport de produits miniers et a été fermée dès 1952. Les dix premiers kilomètres sont asphaltés et faciles à rouler malgré une montée douce et continue. On traverse ainsi le magnifique paysage de moyenne montagne de la Rhön de Thuringe. À Oechsen s’arrête la section qui suit l’ancienne voie ferrée. De là, le chemin monte vers la cabane Emberg. De cet endroit, on a une vue incroyable sur la vallée de Feldatal, vers laquelle le parcours descend ensuite. En descente, il faut rouler avec prudence et attention. Peu après, on arrive à la destination finale, Dermbach. Grâce au parcours Emberg, il est possible de connecter le parcours cyclable de Feldatal avec celui de la Rhön, ce qui offre de superbes boucles de randonnée.

This short cycle path leads through the beautiful Rhön landscape. Since the cycle path partly runs on the former railway line from Wenigentaft to Oechsen, the path used to be called the Oechsenbahn cycle path. It is now known as the Emberg cycle path. Starting from Buttlar, the route follows the former Oechsenbahn. This was used for transporting mining products and was already closed in 1952. Thus, the first ten kilometers on the cycle path are asphalted and despite the continuous slight ascent, pleasant to ride. During the ride, you pass through the beautiful upland landscape of the Thuringian Rhön. In Oechsen, the section of the cycle path running on the former railway track ends. From here, the route leads up to the Emberg Hut. From there opens an incredible view over the Feldatal, into which the cycle path subsequently also leads. Careful and attentive riding is necessary during the descent. Shortly afterwards, you reach the final destination of the cycle path, the town of Dermbach. Through the Emberg cycle path, a connection between the Feldatal cycle path and the Rhön cycle path is possible, enabling great circular routes.
