Zum Tag des offenen Denkmals öffnen unterschiedliche Denkmäler Ihre Türen für alle Interessierte. Der Landkreises Coburg bietet dabei die Möglichkeit in Bau- und Bodendenkmälern des Gemeindegebiets Meeder die Spuren vergangener Bewohner zu entdecken und mehr über die wechselnde Nutzung historischer Gebäude zu erfahren. Was ist nötig für den Erhalt eines Denkmals und wie können sie genutzt werden? Die Eigentümer gewähren Einblick in den aktuellen Stand und die Schritte der Wiederherstellung zur weiteren Nutzung. Eröffnet wird der Tag um 11 Uhr im Bahnhof Wiesenfeld, anschließend laden umliegende Gutshöfe zu weiteren Entdeckungstouren ein, u.a. das ehemalige Wasserschloss Moggenbrunn aus dem 16. Jahrhundert sowie die ehemaligen Rittergüter in Wiesenfeld und Birkenmoor. Noch ältere Spuren früherer Bewohner zeigen Bodendenkmäler in Großwalbur, die ihren Ursprung bereits im Mittelalter haben. Verbunden werden die Denkmäler durch eine Radtour, die diese auf besonders schöne Weise erlebbar macht.

On Open Monument Day, various monuments open their doors to all interested visitors. The district of Coburg offers the opportunity to discover traces of past inhabitants in the building and archaeological monuments within the municipality of Meeder and to learn more about the changing use of historic buildings. What is necessary for the preservation of a monument and how can they be used? The owners provide insights into the current status and the steps of restoration for further use. The day begins at 11 a.m. at Wiesenfeld station, followed by surrounding manor houses inviting to further discovery routes, including the former water castle Moggenbrunn from the 16th century as well as the former knight's estates in Wiesenfeld and Birkenmoor. Even older traces of earlier inhabitants are shown by archaeological monuments in Großwalbur, which date back to the Middle Ages. The monuments are connected by a bike route that makes them particularly easy to experience.

À l'occasion de la Journée européenne du patrimoine, différents monuments ouvrent leurs portes à tous les intéressés. Le district de Cobourg offre la possibilité de découvrir les traces des anciens habitants dans les monuments architecturaux et archéologiques du territoire communal de Meeder et d’en apprendre davantage sur l’utilisation changeante des bâtiments historiques. Qu'est-ce qui est nécessaire pour préserver un monument et comment peuvent-ils être utilisés ? Les propriétaires donnent un aperçu de l'état actuel et des étapes de la restauration pour une nouvelle utilisation. La journée commence à 11 heures à la gare de Wiesenfeld, puis les domaines agricoles environnants invitent à d'autres parcours de découverte, notamment l'ancien château d'eau de Moggenbrunn datant du XVIe siècle ainsi que les anciens domaines seigneuriaux de Wiesenfeld et Birkenmoor. Des traces encore plus anciennes des premiers habitants sont visibles dans les monuments archéologiques de Großwalbur, dont l’origine remonte déjà au Moyen Âge. Ces monuments sont reliés par une balade à vélo qui les rend particulièrement accessibles.

Das 1892 errichtete Stationsgebäude der Werra-Eisenbahngesellschaft Meiningen war bereits zu Zeiten der herzoglichen Bahnlinie Coburg – Rodach in Betrieb. Inzwischen wurde der verschieferte Fachwerkbau umfassend saniert und als Wohngebäude gestaltet. Die Anfahrt mit der Bahn nach Wiesenfeld ist weiterhin möglich.</p> <p><strong>Rittergut Wiesenfeld</strong></p> <p>Das ehemalige <strong>Rittergut</strong> in der Lindenstraße hatte nach seiner Errichtung 1734 viele unterschiedliche Nutzungsvarianten. Durch den Einsatz der heutigen Eigentümer dient das weitläufige Gebäude wieder als Wohngebäude.</p> <p><strong>Birkenmoor</strong></p> <p>Für den Weg nach Birkenmoor gibt es zwei unterschiedliche Varianten. Der nach rechts abzweigende Weg bietet bereits bei der Anfahrt einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Jugendstilvilla ist jedoch eher für Fußgänger oder Mountainbikes geeignet. Für eine bequemere Tour mit dem Fahrrad hingegen empfiehlt sich der Weg geradeaus über <strong>Neida</strong>. Geht man links neben der Jugendstilvilla von August Berger, die 1905-1910 entstand, am Rittergut vorbei und folgt der Straße einige Schritte Richtung Meeder, gelangt man zum <strong>Windrad</strong>. Das um 1920 errichtete Windrad sollte damals die umliegenden Weideflächen bewässern und die Schafe versorgen. Vom Windrad aus ist auch der ehemalige Schafstall noch gut sichtbar.</p> <p><strong>Großwalbur</strong></p> <p>Über Neida führt der Weg nach Großwalbur. An der Kreuzung von Schulweg und Am Salzbrunnen bietet sich die Möglichkeit mehr über mittelalterliche Bodendenkmäler zu erfahren. Die Gemeinde Meeder weist aktuell mehr Boden- als Baudenkmäler auf. Da diese zum Großteil weiterhin unter der Erde verborgen sind, ist die Wahrnehmung deutlich schwieriger. Am Tag des offenen Denkmals laden wir ein, mehr über einen verebneten <strong>mittelalterlichen Turmhügel</strong> und die Erforschung weiterer Spuren zu erfahren.</p> <p><strong>Moggenbrunn</strong></p> <p>Von Großwalbur folgt man der Bahnlinie parallel Richtung Meeder und erreicht anschließend das ehemalige <strong>Wasserschloss Moggenbrunn</strong>. Der Kern des Gebäudes stammt aus dem 16. Jahrhundert und wurde 1720 erneuert. Das zugehörige Stallgebäude aus dem 19. Jahrhundert wirkt dagegen vergleichsweise jung. Ein Teil des Wasserschlosses, wie etwa Fassade und Eingangshalle, wurden im Jahr 2000 restauriert, ein weiterer Bereich wird aktuell für eine Sanierung vorbereitet. Das Gebäude bietet damit Eindrücke des bereits aufbereiteten und des ursprünglichen Zustandes.</p> <p>Das Ende der Tour führt wieder zurück nach <strong>Wiesenfeld</strong>. Die drei Haltepunkte der Bahn in Wiesenfeld, Meeder und Großwalbur erlauben eine Anpassung der Tour, je nach Interesse. Natürlich sind auch einzelne Teilstrecken oder eine geänderte Reihenfolge möglich.</p>

Pour un parcours plus confortable à vélo, on recommande plutôt le chemin tout droit via <strong>Neida</strong>. En passant à gauche de la villa Art nouveau construite entre 1905 et 1910 par August Berger, à côté du domaine seigneurial, et en suivant la rue quelques pas en direction de Meeder, on arrive à l'<strong>éolienne</strong>. Construite vers 1920, cette éolienne servait alors à irriguer les pâturages environnants et à approvisionner les moutons. Depuis l’éolienne, on aperçoit encore bien l'ancien bergerie.</p> <p><strong>Großwalbur</strong></p> <p>Le chemin vers Großwalbur passe par Neida. Au carrefour entre Schulweg et Am Salzbrunnen, il est possible d'en apprendre davantage sur les monuments archéologiques médiévaux. La commune de Meeder compte actuellement plus de monuments archéologiques que de monuments architecturaux. Comme la plupart restent enfouis sous la terre, leur perception est nettement plus difficile. À l'occasion de la Journée européenne du patrimoine, vous êtes invités à découvrir un <strong>monticule médiéval nivelé</strong> et les recherches sur d'autres traces.</p> <p><strong>Moggenbrunn</strong></p> <p>Depuis Großwalbur, on suit la voie ferrée en parallèle en direction de Meeder et on arrive ensuite à l'ancien <strong>château d'eau de Moggenbrunn</strong>. Le noyau du bâtiment remonte au XVIe siècle et a été rénové en 1720. La bâtisse de l'écurie attenante, datant du XIXe siècle, paraît relativement jeune en comparaison. Une partie du château d'eau, comme la façade et le hall d'entrée, a été restaurée en 2000, un autre secteur est actuellement préparé pour une restauration. Le bâtiment offre ainsi un aperçu de l’état déjà remis en valeur et de son état d’origine.</p> <p>La fin du parcours ramène à <strong>Wiesenfeld</strong>. Les trois arrêts de train à Wiesenfeld, Meeder et Großwalbur permettent d’adapter le parcours selon l’intérêt. Bien sûr, il est également possible de ne parcourir que des tronçons ou de modifier l’ordre.</p>

Entre-temps, la maison à colombages recouverte d’ardoises a été entièrement rénovée et transformée en habitation. L'arrivée en train à Wiesenfeld reste possible. Domaine seigneurial de Wiesenfeld L'ancien domaine seigneurial dans la Lindenstraße a connu de nombreuses utilisations différentes depuis sa construction en 1734. Grâce à l'engagement des propriétaires actuels, le vaste bâtiment sert à nouveau de lieu d’habitation. Birkenmoor Pour aller à Birkenmoor, il existe deux options différentes. Le chemin qui bifurque vers la droite offre déjà un merveilleux aperçu de la villa Art nouveau lors de l'arrivée, mais il est plutôt adapté aux piétons ou aux VTT. Pour un parcours plus confortable à vélo, on recommande plutôt le chemin tout droit via Neida. En passant à gauche de la villa Art nouveau construite entre 1905 et 1910 par August Berger, à côté du domaine seigneurial, et en suivant la rue quelques pas en direction de Meeder, on arrive à l'éolienne. Construite vers 1920, cette éolienne servait alors à irriguer les pâturages environnants et à approvisionner les moutons. Depuis l’éolienne, on aperçoit encore bien l'ancien bergerie. Großwalbur Le chemin vers Großwalbur passe par Neida. Au carrefour entre Schulweg et Am Salzbrunnen, il est possible d'en apprendre davantage sur les monuments archéologiques médiévaux. La commune de Meeder compte actuellement plus de monuments archéologiques que de monuments architecturaux. Comme la plupart restent enfouis sous la terre, leur perception est nettement plus difficile. À l'occasion de la Journée européenne du patrimoine, vous êtes invités à découvrir un monticule médiéval nivelé et les recherches sur d'autres traces. Moggenbrunn Depuis Großwalbur, on suit la voie ferrée en parallèle en direction de Meeder et on arrive ensuite à l'ancien château d'eau de Moggenbrunn. Le noyau du bâtiment remonte au XVIe siècle et a été rénové en 1720. La bâtisse de l'écurie attenante, datant du XIXe siècle, paraît relativement jeune en comparaison. Une partie du château d'eau, comme la façade et le hall d'entrée, a été restaurée en 2000, un autre secteur est actuellement préparé pour une restauration. Le bâtiment offre ainsi un aperçu de l’état déjà remis en valeur et de son état d’origine. La fin du parcours ramène à Wiesenfeld. Les trois arrêts de train à Wiesenfeld, Meeder et Großwalbur permettent d’adapter le parcours selon l’intérêt. Bien sûr, il est également possible de ne parcourir que des tronçons ou de modifier l’ordre.

The station building, built in 1892 by the Werra Railway Company Meiningen, was already in operation during the time of the ducal Coburg – Rodach railway line. Wiesenfeld Knight's Estate The former knight's estate on Lindenstraße had many different uses after its construction in 1734. Through the efforts of the current owners, the extensive building serves again as a residential building. Birkenmoor There are two different ways to Birkenmoor. The path turning right offers a wonderful view of the Art Nouveau villa already on the way but is better suited for pedestrians or mountain bikes. For a more comfortable bike ride, the path straight ahead via Neida is recommended. If you go left beside the Art Nouveau villa by August Berger, built between 1905-1910, past the knight's estate and follow the road a few steps towards Meeder, you will reach the windmill. The windmill, built around 1920, was intended to irrigate the surrounding pasturelands and supply the sheep. From the windmill, the former sheepfold is still clearly visible. Großwalbur The route via Neida leads to Großwalbur. At the intersection of Schulweg and Am Salzbrunnen, there is an opportunity to learn more about medieval archaeological monuments. The municipality of Meeder currently has more archaeological monuments than building monuments. Since most of these remain underground, perception is significantly more difficult. On Open Monument Day, we invite you to learn more about a leveled medieval motte and the research of further traces. Moggenbrunn From Großwalbur, follow the railway line parallel towards Meeder and then reach the former water castle Moggenbrunn. The core of the building dates back to the 16th century and was renewed in 1720. The associated stable building from the 19th century, by contrast, appears comparatively young. Part of the water castle, such as the façade and entrance hall, was restored in 2000, and another area is currently being prepared for renovation. The building thus provides impressions of both the already restored and the original condition. The end of the route leads back again to Wiesenfeld. The three train stops in Wiesenfeld, Meeder, and Großwalbur allow the tour to be adjusted depending on interest. Of course, individual sections or a changed sequence are also possible.
