Wir starten auf der Rundloipe am Wanderparkplatz Eisernes Kreuz. An deren Start befindet sich das ehemalige Basaltwerk Stangenroth. Dieses ist heute zu einem schönen See geworden und bietet als Biotop Heimat für zahlreiche Tier- und Pflanzenarten.  Auf der Rundtour geht es weiter den Feuerberg (832m) zur Kissinger Hütte. Diese bietet einen tollen Punkt für eine Einkehr auf der Strecke. Auch öffnen sich auf den baumfreien Flächen rund um die Wanderhütte tolle Panoramablicke über die verschneiten Schwarzen Berge.  Die Runde geht von dort aus weiter in einem langgezogenen Bogen an den Hängen des Feuerbergs. In kurzer Distanz kommt man dabei an dem Gebirgsstein (756m) vorbei, dem Krater eines eingeschlafenen Vulkans. Anschließend steht nur noch ein kurzes Stück Weg an, bevor man zum Ausgangspunkt am Wanderparkplatz Eiserner Kreuz zurückkehrt.

Nous démarrons sur le parcours circulaire au parking de randonnée Eisernes Kreuz. Au départ se trouve l'ancienne usine de basalte Stangenroth. Aujourd'hui, c'est devenu un joli lac qui sert de biotope à de nombreuses espèces animales et végétales. Le parcours continue vers le Feuerberg (832 m) jusqu'à la Kissinger Hütte. Ce lieu offre un point idéal pour une pause pendant le parcours. De plus, les espaces dégagés autour de la cabane de randonnée offrent de superbes vues panoramiques sur les montagnes noires enneigées. Le circuit se poursuit ensuite en un long arc sur les pentes du Feuerberg. À courte distance, on passe par la pierre de montagne (756 m), le cratère d’un volcan endormi. Ensuite, il ne reste qu’un court tronçon avant de retourner au point de départ, le parking de randonnée Eisernes Kreuz.

We start on the circular trail at the hiking car park Eisernes Kreuz. At its start is the former basalt plant Stangenroth. This has now become a beautiful lake and offers a habitat for numerous animal and plant species as a biotope. The circular route continues to Feuerberg (832m) to the Kissinger Hütte. This offers a great spot for a stop along the route. Also, on the treeless areas around the hiking hut, there are fantastic panoramic views of the snow-covered Schwarzen Berge. The loop then continues in a long arc along the slopes of the Feuerberg. In close proximity, you pass by the Gebirgsstein (756m), the crater of a dormant volcano. Afterwards, there is only a short stretch left before returning to the starting point at the hiking car park Eisernes Kreuz.
