Die Tour startet nahe dem beschaulichen Wöllnitz. Rasch geht es raus aus der Stadt und rein in die Natur. Im Pennickental folgt der Trail dem Lauf des Pennickenbaches bis zum Fürstenbrunnen. Hier lohnt sich ein kurzer Abstecher zum Fürstenbrunnen um sich zu erfrischen. Denn nun geht es bergauf. Oben auf dem Plateau angekommen, führt der Weg durch den Wald bis Burgrabis, mit dem ehemaligen Gasthaus Luftschiff. Nach dem Luftschiff und der dahinter liegenden Streuobstwiesen geht es durch den Wald in Richtung Hausberg. Vom Steinkreuz geht es abwärts nach Ziegenhain. Der Fuchsturm ist nun zu sehen. Den Ort durchquerend passiert man den Wald und fährt allmählich wieder bergauf. Oben angekommen eröffnet sich ein tolles Panorama von Wiesen und Hügeln. Wir empfehlen einen Abstecher zum Fuchsturm, der einst als eines der „Sieben Wunder“ Jenas galt. Die Aussicht auf Ziegenhain und die trubelige Stadt Jena lohnt sich. Über einen mit Wiesen gesäumten Schotterweg geht es wieder zurück ins Tal.

Le parcours commence près du paisible Wöllnitz. Rapidement, on quitte la ville pour plonger dans la nature. Dans la vallée de Pennicken, le parcours suit le cours du ruisseau Pennicken jusqu’au Fürstenbrunnen. Là, une courte halte au Fürstenbrunnen est recommandée pour se rafraîchir. Ensuite, ça monte. Arrivé sur le plateau, le chemin traverse la forêt jusqu’à Burgrabis, où se trouvait autrefois la auberge Luftschiff. Après l’ancienne auberge et les vergers situés derrière, on continue à travers la forêt en direction de Hausberg. Du Steinkreuz, on descend vers Ziegenhain. Le Fuchsturm est alors visible. On traverse le village, on passe à travers la forêt puis on remonte doucement. Arrivé en haut, un splendide panorama de prairies et collines s’offre à vous. Nous recommandons vivement une escapade au Fuchsturm, autrefois considéré comme l’une des « Sept Merveilles » de Jena. La vue sur Ziegenhain et la ville animée de Jena vaut le détour. Par un chemin de gravier bordé de prairies, on redescend ensuite dans la vallée.

The route starts near the tranquil Wöllnitz. Quickly it leads out of the city and into nature. In the Pennickental, the trail follows the course of the Pennickenbach to the Fürstenbrunnen. A short detour to the Fürstenbrunnen is worthwhile to refresh yourself. Then it goes uphill. Once on the plateau, the path leads through the forest to Burgrabis, with the former inn Luftschiff. After the Luftschiff and the adjacent orchards, it goes through the forest towards Hausberg. From the Steinkreuz it goes downhill to Ziegenhain. The Fuchsturm is now visible. Passing through the town, you go through the forest and gradually go uphill again. Once at the top, a great panorama of meadows and hills opens up. We recommend a detour to the Fuchsturm, once considered one of the "Seven Wonders" of Jena. The view of Ziegenhain and the bustling city of Jena is worthwhile. Via a gravel path lined with meadows, it goes back down into the valley.
