Dermbach offers the ideal starting point for hiking tours. Many great tours through the surrounding landscape of the UNESCO biosphere reserve Rhön start from the core town and also the districts. This tour starts directly at Dermbach Castle, in the vicinity of which there are numerous parking facilities for hikers. An information board for the circular route also offers the opportunity to get a last overview of the tour before the hike. Dermbach is a regional center for a large number of tourist offers. Starting from the castle, the path only leads a short distance through the village before it transitions to natural paths and leads into the surrounding countryside. A short time later you reach the foothills of the Epersberg. At its foot there is a rest area with a great view back to Dermbach. On the Rhön Rundweg, the path now continues in an arc around the village of Oberalba. You reach the Emberghütte at the edge of the forest. The hiking hut is run by the local Rhönklub branch and offers its guests service on many weekends throughout the year. Simple food and drinks are available here for refreshment (see further information for a precise list of the rest days). The circular hike leads from the Emberghütte over the Emberg in the direction of the Baier. The 714 meter high mountain was also important for the Celts. Former ring walls from Celtic times can still be seen on the mountain today. Not far after that, the hiking trail makes a hard curve and then always leads back south towards the starting point. Across meadows and through the center of Unteralba back to Dermbach.

Dermbach bietet den idealen Ausgangspunkt für Wandertouren. Vom Kernort und auch den Ortsteilen starten viele tolle Touren durch die umliegende Landschaft des UNESCO-Biosphärenreservats Rhön.  Diese Tour beginnt direkt an Schloss Dermbach, in dessen nähe es zahlreiche Parkmöglichkeiten für Wanderer gibt. Auch eine Informationstafel zu dem Rundweg bietet die Möglichkeit sich vor der Wanderung noch einen letzten Überblick zur Tour zu verschaffen.Dermbach ist ein regionales Zentrum für eine vielzahl touristischer Angebote. Ausgehend vom Schloss führt der Weg nur noch ein kurzes Stück durch den Ort, bevor dieser auf naturnahe Wege übergeht und in die umliegende Landschaft führt. Kurze Zeit später erreicht man auch schon den Ausläufer des Epersberg. An dessen Fuß wartet eine Rastmöglichekeit mit einem tollen Blick zurück auf Dermbach. Auf dem Rhön Rundweg geht es nun weiter in einem Bogen um den Ort Oberalba herum. Am Waldrand erreicht man die Emberghütte. Die Wanderhütte wird vom örtlichen Rhönklub Zweigverein betrieben und bietet seinen Gästen an vielen Wochenenden im Jahr bewirtschaftung an. Einfache Speisen und Getränke stehen hier zur Stärkung zur Verfügung (siehe weiterführende Informationen für genaue Auflistung der Ruhetage). Von der Emberghütte führt die Rundwanderung über den Emberg in Richtung des Baier. Der 714 Meter hohe Berg ist auch schon für Kelten von Bedeutung gewesen. Noch heute lassen sich an dem Berg ehemalige Ringwallanlagen aus der Keltenzeit erkennen.  Unweit danach macht der Wanderweg einen harten Bogen und führt anschließend stets südlich in Richtung des Ausgangspunkt zurück. Über Wiesenflächen und durch den Ortskern von Unteralba zurück nach Dermbach.

Dermbach est le point de départ idéal pour les randonnées. De nombreux superbes circuits partent du centre-ville et des quartiers de la ville à travers le paysage environnant de la réserve de biosphère UNESCO de la Rhön. Ce circuit commence directement au château de Dermbach, à proximité duquel il y a de nombreuses possibilités de parking pour les randonneurs. Un panneau d'information sur le circuit offre également la possibilité de se faire une dernière idée de la randonnée avant de partir. Dermbach est un centre régional proposant une multitude d'offres touristiques. En partant du château, le chemin ne traverse que brièvement la localité avant de s'engager sur des sentiers naturels qui mènent à la campagne environnante. Peu de temps après, on atteint déjà les contreforts de l'Epersberg. Au pied de celui-ci, il est possible de faire une pause avec une vue magnifique sur Dermbach. Le circuit de la Rhön se poursuit en contournant le village d'Oberalba. A la lisière de la forêt, on atteint l'Emberghütte. La cabane de randonnée est gérée par la branche locale du Rhönklub et offre à ses hôtes un service de restauration pendant de nombreux week-ends de l'année. Depuis l'Emberghütte, le circuit de randonnée passe par l'Emberg en direction du Baier, une montagne de 714 mètres d'altitude qui était déjà importante pour les Celtes. Aujourd'hui encore, on peut voir sur la montagne d'anciennes fortifications circulaires datant de l'époque celte. Non loin de là, le sentier de randonnée fait un grand virage et revient ensuite toujours vers le sud en direction du point de départ. Il traverse des prairies et le centre du village d'Unteralba pour revenir à Dermbach.
