About: Massenflucht aus Böseckendorf- Auf den Spuren der Geflüchteten, Fuite de masse de Böseckendorf - Sur les traces des réfugiés, Mass escape from Böseckendorf - In the footsteps of the refugees

Am 2. Oktober 1961 flüchteten 14 Familien, insgesamt 55 Personen, aus dem Dorf Böseckendorf im DDR-Grenzgebiet. Über die innerdeutsche Grenze gelangten sie in das niedersächsische Immingerode. Es war die größte Massenflucht aus der DDR bis zum Sommer 1989. Ihre Wanderung folgt anhand historischen Materials der damaligen Fluchtstrecke. Start ist die Straßenkreuzung Ortsmitte Böseckendorf. Zunächst laufen Sie Richtung Kirche und zum damaligen Sammelpunkt der Geflüchteten auf einem Hofgelände. Von hier aus verläuft die Tour unter anderem entlang des Kolonnenwegs und des „Grünen Bands“ bis zum Gedenkstein für die Geflüchteten an der Kreisstraße kurz vor Immingerode. Entlang dieser Straße laufen Sie bis zu dem Punkt, an dem die Geflüchteten die Grenze überquerten und schließlich zurück zum Ausganspunkt.

Le 2 octobre 1961, 14 familles, soit au total 55 personnes, ont fui le village de Böseckendorf situé dans la zone frontalière de la RDA. Elles ont traversé la frontière intérieure allemande pour arriver à Immingerode en Basse-Saxe. Ce fut la plus grande fuite de masse de la RDA jusqu’à l’été 1989. Votre randonnée suit, à l’aide de documents historiques, le trajet de fuite de l’époque. Le départ se fait au carrefour du centre du village de Böseckendorf. Vous commencez par vous diriger vers l’église et vers le point de rassemblement des réfugiés d’alors, dans une cour. À partir de là, le parcours suit notamment le chemin de la colonne et la « Ceinture verte » jusqu’au monument commémoratif pour les réfugiés situé sur la route cantonale peu avant Immingerode. Le long de cette route, vous arrivez au point où les réfugiés ont franchi la frontière, puis vous revenez au point de départ.

On October 2, 1961, 14 families, a total of 55 people, fled from the village of Böseckendorf in the GDR border area. They crossed the inner-German border into Immingerode, Lower Saxony. It was the largest mass flight from the GDR until the summer of 1989. Your walk follows the escape route based on historical material. The start is the road intersection in the centre of Böseckendorf. First, you walk towards the church and to the former gathering point of the refugees on a farmyard. From here, the route runs, among other things, along the Kolonnenweg and the “Green Belt” to the memorial stone for the refugees on the district road just before Immingerode. Along this road, you walk to the point where the refugees crossed the border and finally back to the starting point.
