Von dort führt Sie der Weg über den Pferdeberg und den „Weg der Geschichte“ mit herrlichem Ausblick auf das „Grüne Band“ und die Region. Hier erfahren Sie, weshalb sich die Artenvielfalt am „Grünen Band“ auf so besondere Art und Weise entwickeln konnte. Anschließend wandern Sie weiter nach Rustenfelde, wo eine Einkehr in der Gaststätte möglich ist. Es folgt ein steiler Aufstieg. Sie passieren den Punkt, an dem eine ehemalige Führungsstelle zu Zeiten des geteilten Deutschlands stand. Entlang des Kolonnenwegs erkunden Sie die seltenen Lebensräume von Flora und Fauna am „Grünen Band“. Dieser Abschnitt lädt zu einer Pflanzenbestimmung mittels Smartphone und der App „Flora Incognita“ ein. Durch den Wald hindurch passieren Sie die Kapelle Sankt Maria Magdalena. Zuletzt wandern Sie auf dem Stationsweg zurück nach Kirchgandern.
