Die Wanderung beginnt in Günterode, eine Gemeinde mit einer interessanten Geschichte zur Gemarkung, Günterode, Queckhagen und der Wüstung Riesbach. Nach etwa 1,5 Kilometern passieren Sie die neue Stellenanlage der Biogasanlage, eine der modernsten im gesamten Eichsfeld. Am Geistholz vorbei blicken Sie auf den Rusteberg. Ihre Wanderung verläuft weiter unterhalb des Flugplatzes in Richtung Sportplatz. Auf der Autobahnbrücke haben Sie einen Ausblick auf das Leinetal und die umliegenden Höhenzüge. Auf dem Rückweg nach Günterode, entlang des Waldes, haben Sie einen guten Ausblick auf den Waldumbau und die klimatischen Veränderungen. Kurz vor Günterode können Sie am Retenberg entdecken, wo das erste Windrad im Eichsfeld stand. Entlang des gesamten Rundwanderweges liegen Aussichtspunkte mit scheinbar grenzenlosen Weitblicken zum „Grünen Band“, nach Birkenhain, zum Brocken oder dem hohen Meißner.

La randonnée commence à Günterode, une commune avec une histoire intéressante concernant la zone cadastrale, Günterode, Queckhagen, et l'abandon de Riesbach. Après environ 1,5 kilomètres, vous passez devant la nouvelle installation de la station de biogaz, l'une des plus modernes de tout l'Eichsfeld. En passant par Geistholz, vous avez une vue sur le Rusteberg. Votre randonnée continue sous l'aérodrome en direction du terrain de sport. Sur le pont autoroutier, vous avez une vue sur la vallée de la Leine et les chaînes de collines environnantes. Sur le chemin de retour vers Günterode, le long de la forêt, vous avez une bonne vue sur la conversion forestière et les changements climatiques. Juste avant Günterode, vous pouvez découvrir au Retenberg où se trouvait la première éolienne dans l'Eichsfeld. Le long de tout le sentier circulaire, se trouvent des points de vue offrant des panoramas apparemment sans limites vers la « ceinture verte », vers Birkenhain, le Brocken ou le Hoher Meißner.

Your hike continues below the airfield towards the sports ground. On the motorway bridge, you have a view of the Leine valley and the surrounding heights. On the way back to Günterode, along the forest, you have a good view of the forest restructuring and the climatic changes. Shortly before Günterode, you can discover on Retenberg where the first wind turbine in the Eichsfeld stood. Along the entire circular hiking trail are viewpoints with seemingly endless views of the 'Green Belt', to Birkenhain, the Brocken, or the Hoher Meißner.
