Le Land de Thuringe a déjà protégé en 2018 le “Ruban Vert de Thuringe” en tant que monument naturel national : sur une longueur de 763 km ! Ici, le visiteur peut s'immerger profondément dans la nature et écouter la nature. La randonnée circulaire légère est particulièrement adaptée aux familles et facile à parcourir même avec une poussette. Cela est plutôt difficile ailleurs sur le Ruban Vert, car le chemin de la colonne suit la frontière nationale et ne tient naturellement pas compte de la topographie. Différents panneaux explicatifs et éléments interactifs expliquent les particularités de la nature sur le Ruban Vert. Le parcours commence au centre du village de Truckendorf à l'Ancienne École. Celle-ci est désormais une maison de quartier. Juste à côté se trouve un lieu d'hébergement proche de la nature pour les randonneurs sur le Ruban Vert. En traversant le ruisseau frontalier près du moulin Weihersmühle en direction de la Bavière, on arrive après quelques minutes au premier bâtiment de gare du district de Sonneberg. La gare de Görsdorf est tombée, tout comme la ligne ferroviaire de Werra, dans un sommeil de la Belle au bois dormant avec la division allemande.

This is otherwise quite difficult on the Green Belt, as the patrol road follows the state border and naturally does not take the topography into account. Various display boards and interactive elements explain the special features of nature along the Green Belt. The route starts in the center of Truckendorf at the Old School, which is now a community center. Right next to it is a nature-friendly overnight spot for hikers on the Green Belt. If you cross over the border stream at the Weihersmühle further towards Bavaria, you reach the first train station building for the district of Sonneberg after a few minutes. The Görsdorf station, like the Werra railway, fell into a Sleeping Beauty slumber due to the German division.

Der Freistaat Thüringen hat das „Grüne Band Thüringen“ bereits 2018 als Nationales Naturmonument unter Schutz gestellt: Auf einer Länge von 763 km! Hier kann der Besucher tief in die Natur eintauchen und der Natur lauschen. Die leichte Rundwanderung ist besonders für Familien geeignet und sogar mit dem Kinderwagen leicht zu begehen. Das ist am Grünen Band sonst eher schwierig, da der Kolonnenweg der Landesgrenze folgt und naturgemäß keine Rücksicht auf die Topographie nimmt. Verschiedene Schautafeln und Mitmachelemente erklären die Besonderheiten der Natur am Grünen Band. Die Tour startet in der Ortsmitte von Truckendorf an der Alten Schule. Die ist jetzt ein Bürgerhaus. Gleich daneben befindet sich naturnaher Übernachtungsplatz für Wanderer am Grünen Band. Geht man über den Grenzbach an der Weihersmühle weiter nach Bayern, kommt man nach wenigen Minuten zum ersten Bahnhofsgebäude für den Landkreis Sonneberg. Der Bahnhof Görsdorf fiel, wie die Werrabahn, mit der deutschen Teilung in einen Dornröschenschlaf.
