2. Pfarrhaus
Entstanden 1702-1704 auf Anregung des Pfarrers Erdmann Neumeister (dt. Kantatendichter).
Lauchaer Str. 85, 06647 Bad Bibra

Here, among other events, concerts and Germany's largest fairy tale procession with Christmas market take place during the pre-Christmas season.
2. Parsonage
Built from 1702-1704 at the suggestion of Pastor Erdmann Neumeister (German cantata poet). The new community center in the converted monastery barn also serves as an event venue, the parsonage houses the parish office. Domberg – oldest settlement core of today's city of Bad Bibra (first mentioned: donation document in 786). The name “Domberg” goes back to the Augustinian canons' monastery, which evolved from the Benedictine monastery founded in 963.
Church square - Three monuments are dedicated to the fallen of both World Wars and the German War of 1866 (Battle of Königgrätz).
Domberg 9, 06647 Bad Bibra
3. Maria Magdalena Church
Construction of a collegiate church on the foundations of the Augustinian canons' monastery began around 1100 and was complemented in 1402 with a Gothic west tower. Incorporating older parts of the predecessor building, the current church was built from 1868–1871. It has the largest collection of Gothic sculptures in the Burgenland district. Thanks to a generous donation from former Bad Bibra citizen Joachim Haedrich from Carlsbad, California, since 2000 it has once again a complete set of three bells. The bells are named Peace, Freedom, and Family.
Church square, 06647 Bad Bibra
4. Old Town Hall
Probably built in the 19th century, it now houses the Kneipp information center, the city library, and exhibitions on the spa history in the Baroque period, when the city bore the title "Fashion spa of the Dukes of Saxony-Weißenfels", as well as on the upper floor about the boxing legend Franz Diener. The staircase is adorned with a stone beaver, the city's coat of arms animal (designed by Prof. E. Pfeifer, Munich).
Lauchaer Str. 85, 06647 Bad Bibra
5. Bathing Place with Healing Well Pavilion and Kneipp Facilities
The bathing place impressively reflects the city's spa tradition, founded in the 17th century by the Dukes of Saxony-Weißenfels. The healing well - covered by the charming pavilion built in 1879 - is the oldest iron-rich spring in Bad Bibra. It was first channeled by Duke Johann Adolf of Saxony-Weißenfels in 1684. In 1777, the entrance portal to the spring was elaborately designed under Elector Frederick August II, later King of Saxony.
Bathing place, 06647 Bad Bibra
6. Bathhouse with Foundation Stone
The former bathhouse was built at the end of the 17th century. After destruction by the Swedes and rebuilding in 1713, a new bathhouse with bathing cubicles and promenades was built in 1874. Today it is used as a residence. The foundation stone from 1777 contains a Latin inscription beneath the coat of arms, which translates as: "To Jehovah the healer, the Most Serene Elector of Saxony Frederick August, the Titus of our age, has surrounded these healing waters, first channeled in 1684 by the magnificent Johann Adolf and renewed in 1728 by the magnificent Christian, with this wall in 1777."

You can reach the Bear Park via the spa promenade.
7. Bear Park
with Kneipp pools for water treading
Auenstraße, 06647 Bad Bibra
8. City Forest Aue
Picturesquely located floodplain forest along the Saubach with rare animal and plant life. Highlights of the path: two historical springs, Finnebahn viaducts, and Nitzsche Mill.
9. Savior's Fountain, Barefoot Path, Peace Hill
The Savior's Fountain is one of the idyllic gems in the floodplain. The spring can be accessed from two sides via steps and received a stone enclosure in 1907 (restored in 1996 during the Spring Festival). Right next to it begins the barefoot path, the lively alternative to the tiring walking on asphalt and gravel paths, with its soft and hard surfaces providing a natural massage for the soles of the feet. The Peace Hill, formerly Kaiser Wilhelm Hill, was created in 1904.
10. Sisters' Spring
The Sisters' Spring is distinguished by its richness in various salts. The water shows about the same properties as the original healing spring. Its inscription reads: "Healing sisters, be helpful to all who trust you." According to legend, a kind fairy brought healing to three sisters at this spring. The spring was first channeled in 1686 and renovated in 2000.
11. Viaducts
Very worth seeing are the two listed viaducts in the Saubach valley, the 20-meter-high Twelve Apostles Bridge and the 29-meter-high, 100-meter-long Schnecktal Bridge.
The Finnebahn was built in 1912/14 as a single-track branch line. It branched off from the Unstrut Railway in Laucha and joined the Pfefferminz Railway in Kölleda. After World War II, the tracks between Lossa and Kölleda were dismantled due to reparations claims. Until the 1960s, passenger trains still ran between Laucha and Lossa, later only freight traffic. The line was closed in 1994.
Further excursion tips:
Nitzsche Mill – In the catchment area of the Biberbach, there used to be 12 water mills, some of which are still preserved and inhabited today. The Nitzsche Mill, formerly Kneisel Mill, has been used since its construction in the 17th century as a grinding and sawmill.
Year-round external viewing always possible. Tours available by appointment.
Experience Outdoor Pool Balison – With giant water slide, swimming pool, adventure pool, mother-child area, and extensive sunbathing lawns, the idyllic pool located at the edge of the forest invites you to swim, relax and sunbathe.
Romanesque Church Steinbach – The church was built around 1220, simultaneously with the late Romanesque-early Gothic reconstruction of the Naumburg Cathedral. Fascinating are the ornamental forms of the late Romanesque: massive arches on the choir and apse and richly decorated capitals on the corner columns in the choir. The church lies somewhat off the village because Steinbach was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War and rebuilt at the current location. The church is now part of the Road of Romanesque. Open on weekends from Easter to October.
Linden Fountain – At the Linden Fountain (built 2008), you can refresh yourself with Kneipp water treading or an arm bath. The treatment is accompanied by musical sounds. The popular festival site includes benches, a barbecue pavilion, and a small open-air stage.

Lun. – Ven. 9h00 – 15h00
Lauchaer Str. 85, 06647 Bad Bibra
