Der Radweg startet in Meiningen, der Theaterstadt. Die Stadt begeistert durch die historische Altstadt und traumhafte Gärten. Als regionales Zentrum hat die Stadt allerhand zu bieten.  Die Strecke begleitet zu Beginn den Verlauf der Werra und führt am Rande der Stadt zur anschaulichen Walkmühlenwehr. Vorbei an den Teichen bei Untermaßfeld nimmt der Radweg einen südlicheren Verlauf und verabschiedet sich damit von der Werra.  In einem Tallauf fährt man von einem idylischen Dorf zum nächsten. Vorbei an einer kleinen Bergkette gelangt man nach Römhild - dem Ziel des Radweges. Das dortige Schloss Glücksburg beheimatet ein Museum mit zahlreichen historischen Schätzen. Ob eine Antikensammlung, Keramik, Puppen oder altes Handwerk - in den alten Mauern kann vieles entdeckt werden. Die kleine Residenzstadt Römhild liegt darüber hinaus am Fuße der Gleichberge, die das regionale Landschaftsbild prägen. Schon von weiten sind die Zwillingsgipfel zu erkennen und sind ein Wahrzeichen der Region.

Le parcours à vélo commence à Meiningen, la ville du théâtre. La ville séduit par sa vieille ville historique et ses jardins magnifiques. En tant que centre régional, la ville a beaucoup à offrir. Le parcours suit d'abord le cours de la Werra et mène en périphérie de la ville jusqu'au charmant barrage de Walkmühlenwehr. En passant par les étangs d’Untermaßfeld, le parcours prend une direction plus méridionale et s’éloigne ainsi de la Werra. Dans une vallée, on roule d'un village idyllique à un autre. En passant par une petite chaîne de montagnes, on arrive à Römhild - la destination du parcours à vélo. Le château Glüxburg abrite un musée avec de nombreux trésors historiques. Que ce soit une collection d'antiquités, de la céramique, des poupées ou de l'artisanat ancien - de nombreuses découvertes sont possibles dans ces vieilles murailles. La petite ville résidentielle de Römhild se situe également au pied des Gleichberge, qui caractérisent le paysage régional. Les sommets jumeaux sont visibles de loin et sont un symbole de la région.

The route initially follows the course of the Werra and leads on the edge of the town to the picturesque Walkmühlenwehr. Past the ponds at Untermaßfeld, the bike path takes a more southerly direction and thus leaves the Werra. In a valley course, you ride from one idyllic village to the next. Past a small mountain range, you reach Römhild - the destination of the bike path. The Glücksburg Castle there houses a museum with numerous historical treasures. Whether an antique collection, ceramics, dolls, or old crafts - much can be discovered within the old walls. The small residential town of Römhild also lies at the foot of the Gleichberge, which shape the regional landscape. The twin peaks can be seen from afar and are a landmark of the region.
