Ausgangspunkt
Der Erlebnispfad Wilde Weide startet am Wanderparkplatz Kindel. Er führt vorbei an den großen Informationstafeln durch das Eingangstor Wilde Weide Kindel. Zur Linken erstreckt sich die Weide der Pferde und Rinder und zur Rechten die der Schafe und Ziegen. Nach nur wenigen Schritten bietet sich die erste Möglichkeit für eine kurze Pause auf einer Bank. Kinder erklettern derweil die Strauchwildnis. Weiter geht es Richtung Aussichtsturm. Auf etwa halber Strecke lädt die Ruhestation Rind zum Verweilen und gleichzeitig zum Knobeln ein. Eine Hinweistafel beschreibt die Möglichkeit, mittels Schrittmaß die Entfernung bis zum Aussichtsturm zu berechnen. Schritte zählend geht es nun weiter zum Aussichtsturm.
Aussichtturm Wilde Weide
Das Areal bietet sich mit zahlreichen Sitzmöglichkeiten – für sehr sonnige oder regnerische Tage auch geschützt - für ein Picknick an. Groß und Klein haben Spaß auf dem 9,6 m hohen Aussichtsturm. Bis zur Terrasse ist der Ausstieg leicht, bis in die Spitze ist ein klein wenig Gelenkigkeit erforderlich. Ob von der Terrasse oder in der Spitze des Turmes, man genießt einen wunderschönen Blick nach Norden zu den Buchenwäldern des Nationalparks, nach Westen über die Weide der Schafe und Ziegen hin zum Thüringer Wald und der Wartburg und nach Osten über die Weide der Rinder und Pferde. Mit etwas Glück und einem Fernglas lassen sich unsere Weidetiere erspähen.
Weide der Schafe und Ziegen
Wenn der Weitblick ausgiebig genossen wurde, geht es weiter durch die Besucherschleuse auf die Weide der Schafe und Ziegen. Die Tür lässt sich nach Umklappen der Sperre ganz einfach öffnen. Auch wenn die Herde der Weidetiere nicht zu sehen ist, deren Hinterlassenschaften und Trittsiegel sind es auf jeden Fall. Nach weniger Metern zeigt der Wegweiser nach links und auch hier erwartet uns mit der Ruhestation Ziege eine Sitz- und Verschnaufmöglichkeit. Weiter bergab und entlang im Frühling weißblühenden Sträuchern erreichen wir das Weidetor zum Verlassen der Weide.
Infopavillon
Nachdem wir die Weide wieder verlassen habe, führt uns der Weg durch einen Erlenbruchwald, in dem vom Herbst bis Frühling das Wasser steht und unter einer Brücke entlangplätschert. Nicht weit, und mit der Ruhestation Metamorphose ist die letzte Sitzmöglichkeit des Weges erreicht. Hier befindet sich auch der Infopavillon, der Wissbegierigen alle Fragen speziell zu den Weideprojekten im Nationalpark, den Weidetieren auf den Flächen, zum NATUR 2000 – Netzwerk und der spannenden Geschichte des südlichen Nationalparks beantwortet. Der Weg führt nun weiter nach links zurück zum Wanderparkplatz. |

Point de départ
Le parcours d'aventure Wilde Weide débute au parking de randonnée Kindel. Il passe devant les grands panneaux d'information à travers la porte d'entrée Wilde Weide Kindel. À gauche s'étend la pâture des chevaux et des bovins, à droite celle des moutons et des chèvres. Après quelques pas seulement, la première opportunité de faire une pause courte sur un banc se présente. Les enfants escaladent pendant ce temps la broussaille. La suite du parcours mène vers la tour d'observation. À mi-chemin environ, la station de repos Bovin invite à s'attarder et en même temps à résoudre des énigmes. Un panneau indique la possibilité de calculer la distance jusqu'à la tour d'observation en comptant ses pas. En comptant les pas, on continue vers la tour d'observation.
Tour d'observation Wilde Weide
Le site offre de nombreux endroits pour s'asseoir – à l'abri pour les journées très ensoleillées ou pluvieuses – pour un pique-nique. Petits et grands prennent plaisir à la tour d'observation haute de 9,6 m. Jusqu'à la terrasse, la montée est facile, jusqu'au sommet un peu de souplesse est nécessaire. Que ce soit depuis la terrasse ou le sommet de la tour, on profite d'une vue magnifique vers le nord sur les forêts de hêtres du parc national, vers l'ouest sur la pâture des moutons et des chèvres jusqu'à la forêt de Thuringe et la Wartburg, et vers l'est sur la pâture des bovins et des chevaux. Avec un peu de chance et des jumelles, on peut apercevoir nos animaux d'élevage.
Pâture des moutons et des chèvres
Après avoir bien profité de la vue panoramique, on continue par la chicane d'entrée vers la pâture des moutons et des chèvres. La porte s'ouvre très facilement après avoir relevé la barrière. Même si le troupeau d'animaux d'élevage n'est pas visible, leurs traces et déjections le sont certainement. Quelques mètres plus loin, le panneau indique à gauche et ici aussi la station de repos Chèvre offre une possibilité de s'asseoir et de reprendre son souffle. En descendant plus bas et le long de buissons en fleur blancs au printemps, on atteint la porte de pâturage pour quitter la prairie.
Pavillon d'information
Après avoir quitté la pâture, le chemin mène à travers une forêt de saules marécageux où l'eau stagne de l'automne au printemps et coule sous un pont. Pas loin plus loin, la station de repos Métamorphose est le dernier endroit pour s'asseoir du parcours. C'est aussi là que se trouve le pavillon d'information qui répond à toutes les questions des curieux, spécialement sur les projets d'élevage dans le parc national, les animaux d'élevage dans les prairies, le réseau NATURA 2000 et l'histoire passionnante du parc national sud. On peut aussi y lire des informations générales sur le parc national et des nouveautés.
Le chemin continue ensuite vers la gauche pour revenir au parking de randonnée. |

Starting point
The Wild Meadow adventure trail starts at the Kindel hiking parking lot. It leads past the large information boards through the Wild Meadow Kindel entrance gate. To the left stretches the pasture of the horses and cattle, and to the right that of the sheep and goats. After only a few steps, the first opportunity for a short break on a bench presents itself. Meanwhile, children can climb through the brush wilderness. The path continues towards the observation tower. About halfway, the rest station 'Cattle' invites you to linger and simultaneously to riddle. An information board describes the possibility of calculating the distance to the observation tower by counting steps. Counting steps, one continues on to the observation tower.

The area offers numerous seating options – also sheltered for very sunny or rainy days – for a picnic. Young and old have fun on the 9.6 m high observation tower. Exiting to the terrace is easy; reaching the top requires a bit of agility. Whether from the terrace or at the top of the tower, you enjoy a wonderful view north to the beech forests of the National Park, west over the pasture of sheep and goats to the Thuringian Forest and the Wartburg, and east over the pasture of cattle and horses. With a bit of luck and binoculars, the grazing animals can be spotted.

After enjoying the extensive view, the path continues through the visitor sluice onto the pasture of sheep and goats. The door can be easily opened by flipping the latch. Even if the herd of grazing animals is not visible, their droppings and footprints certainly are. After a few meters, the signpost points left, and here, too, the rest station 'Goat' offers a place to sit and rest. Continuing downhill along shrubs blooming white in spring, you reach the pasture gate to exit the pasture.
Information pavilion
After leaving the pasture again, the path leads through an alder carr forest where water stands from autumn to spring and babbles under a bridge. Not far along, the last seating possibility of the path is reached at the rest station 'Metamorphosis.'
