Die Extratour „Der Willmarser“ führt auf rund 14,4 Kilometern durch das UNESCO-Biosphärenreservat Rhön, vorbei an Bachläufen, durch Wälder und über blühende Wiesen. Die Route umrundet die Rhöndörfer Willmars und Filke. Dabei verläuft sie auch ein Stück entlang des Grünen Bandes – jener einstigen innerdeutschen Grenze, die heute ein Rückzugsraum für seltene Arten ist. Hier spricht die Landschaft ihre eigene Sprache: von kleinstrukturierten Feldern, alten Grenzlinien und den Formen der Bewirtschaftung über Jahrhunderte hinweg. Immer wieder öffnen sich Panoramablicke über das „Land der offenen Fernen“. Der Weg hat viel zu erzählen: von der Mauerschädel-Ruine, alten Fachwerkhäusern oder dem Lappbergkreuz. Besonders eindrücklich: das sanfte Spiel von Wasser und Schatten an den Bachläufen – der perfekte Moment zum Innehalten.

L’Extratour « Der Willmarser » s’étend sur environ 14,4 kilomètres à travers la réserve de biosphère de la Rhön, site inscrit par l’UNESCO, longeant des ruisseaux, traversant des forêts et des prairies fleuries. Le parcours fait le tour des villages Rhöndörfer de Willmars et Filke. Il suit aussi un tronçon de la Ceinture Verte – cette ancienne frontière intérieure allemande qui est aujourd’hui un refuge pour des espèces rares. Ici, le paysage s’exprime par ses champs petits structurés, ses anciennes lignes frontalières et ses modes d’exploitation à travers les siècles. À plusieurs reprises, s’ouvrent des vues panoramiques sur le « pays des larges horizons ». Le chemin a beaucoup à raconter : des ruines du crâne du mur, des maisons à colombages anciennes ou la croix du Lappberg. Particulièrement impressionnant : le jeu doux de l’eau et de l’ombre le long des ruisseaux – le moment parfait pour une pause.

The extra route "Der Willmarser" leads roughly 14.4 kilometers through the UNESCO Rhön Biosphere Reserve, past streams, through forests, and over blooming meadows. The route circles the Rhön villages of Willmars and Filke. It also runs along the Green Belt – the former inner-German border, which today serves as a refuge for rare species. Here, the landscape tells its own story: of small-structured fields, old border lines, and centuries-old forms of land use. Panoramic views over the "land of open distances" open up repeatedly. The path has many stories to tell: about the wall-skull ruins, old half-timbered houses, or the Lappberg cross. Particularly impressive is the gentle play of water and shadow at the streams – the perfect moment to pause and reflect.

thuecat:gettingThere @de Willmars kann über die A71 angefahren werden. Dazu verlässt man die Autobahn an der Ausfahrt 24 Mellrichstadt und fährt auf die B285 in Richtung Ostheim auf. Direkt nach Stockheim kann man rechts nach Willmars abbiegen. Der Ort ist kurz später erreicht.
thuecat:gettingThere @en Willmars can be reached via the A71 motorway. To do so, exit the motorway at exit 24 Mellrichstadt and take the B285 towards Ostheim. Just after Stockheim, you can turn right to Willmars. The village is reached shortly after.
