Lors de la balade à vélo d'environ deux heures, on franchit environ 218 mètres de dénivelé et on découvre les différents villages de la commune rurale d'Itzgrund. On y trouve toutes sortes de monuments, des anciens châteaux, maisons à colombages et églises, offrant une diversité culturelle.

Kirche mit ihrem spätmittelalterlichen Chorturm sowie dem klassizistischen Saalraum </li> <li>über die Alte Poststraße überquert man die B4 und die Itz</li> <li>an der nächsten Kreuzung biegt man rechts bei Schottenstein ab</li> </ul> <p><strong>Schottenstein</strong></p> <ul> <li>an der Oberen Dorfstraße biegt man zunächst rechts in den Pfaffengraben ab und dann links in die Rossacher Straße die dann in die Herrengasse mündet</li> <li>im Kirchenrangen kommt man an der Kirche Schottenstein vorbei</li> <li>der Schottengasse entlang kommt man am Mittleren Schloss vorbei, welches im Kern aus dem 16./17. Jahrhundert stammt</li> <li>über die Obere Dorfstraße verlässt man den Ort wieder und hält sich auf der CO 5 Richtung Bodelstadt </li> </ul> <p><strong>Schenkenau</strong></p> <ul> <li>nach Bodelstadt gelangt man über die Coburger Straße nach Kaltenbrunn und biegt im Ort über die Wirtsgasse nach Untermerzbach ab</li> <li>wenn man sich auf dem Weg hält überquert man die Itz und fährt geradewegs an Schenkenau vorbei, was auf der rechten Seite des Weges liegt </li> <li> <p>die Dreiflügelige Anlage des ehemaligen Schlosses und der Mühle stammt aus der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts und wird heute unter anderem als Ferienhof genutzt </p> </li> <li>an Schenkenau vorbei, über den Truschenhofer Weg gelangt man schließlich nach Untermerzbach</li> </ul> <p><strong>Rückweg nach Lahm</strong></p> <ul> <li>im Ort gelangt man auf die Bäckengasse, biegt rechts  in die Schmiedsgasse ein, die dann in die Neubaustraße übergeht</li> <li>diese endet an der Schloßstraße (St 22789) welcher man ein paar Meter folgt, bevor man diese links überquert und auf einen kleinen Nebenweg gelangt</li> <li>an der nächsten Kreuzung biegt man rechts auf eine kleine Fahhradstraße ab, welche parallel zur B4 läuft</li> <li>diesem Weg folgt man ca. 5 km, bis man links über die Wiesenstraße nach Lahm zurückkehrt</li> </ul>

Jahrhundert * am Kirchweg antlang kommen wir zur Kirche St. Jacobus Maior mit Chorturm * über Kirchweg, Hutweide und Hofgasse gelang man schließlich auf den Panoramaweg * von dort aus folgt man dem Weg bis zum Ende und biegt zunächst links und dann zweimal rechts ab  * über einen Feldweg gelangt man in die Ortschaft Gleußen, in die Blumenstraße Gleußen * an der Kloster-Banz-Straße passiert man die Ev.-luth. Kirche mit ihrem spätmittelalterlichen Chorturm sowie dem klassizistischen Saalraum  * über die Alte Poststraße überquert man die B4 und die Itz * an der nächsten Kreuzung biegt man rechts bei Schottenstein ab Schottenstein * an der Oberen Dorfstraße biegt man zunächst rechts in den Pfaffengraben ab und dann links in die Rossacher Straße die dann in die Herrengasse mündet * im Kirchenrangen kommt man an der Kirche Schottenstein vorbei * der Schottengasse entlang kommt man am Mittleren Schloss vorbei, welches im Kern aus dem 16./17. Jahrhundert stammt * über die Obere Dorfstraße verlässt man den Ort wieder und hält sich auf der CO 5 Richtung Bodelstadt  Schenkenau * nach Bodelstadt gelangt man über die Coburger Straße nach Kaltenbrunn und biegt im Ort über die Wirtsgasse nach Untermerzbach ab * wenn man sich auf dem Weg hält überquert man die Itz und fährt geradewegs an Schenkenau vorbei, was auf der rechten Seite des Weges liegt  * die Dreiflügelige Anlage des ehemaligen Schlosses und der Mühle stammt aus der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts und wird heute unter anderem als Ferienhof genutzt  * an Schenkenau vorbei, über den Truschenhofer Weg gelangt man schließlich nach Untermerzbach Rückweg nach Lahm * im Ort gelangt man auf die Bäckengasse, biegt rechts  in die Schmiedsgasse ein, die dann in die Neubaustraße übergeht * diese endet an der Schloßstraße (St 22789) welcher man ein paar Meter folgt, bevor man diese links überquert und auf einen kleinen Nebenweg gelangt * an der nächsten Kreuzung biegt man rechts auf eine kleine Fahhradstraße ab, welche parallel zur B4 läuft * diesem Weg folgt man ca. 5 km, bis man links über die Wiesenstraße nach Lahm zurückkehrt

Entlang der Hauptstraße führt der Weg an mehreren Fachwerkhäusern vorbei, die in Teilen verschiefert sind. Die ältesten dieser Häuser wurden bereits um 1800 erbaut. Herreth An der Staffelsteiner Str. liegt der Gasthof Jahn. Auf der Verschieferung des Gebäudes aus dem 18. Jahrhundert sind noch Spuren der einstigen Bemalung zu sehen. Gleußen Auf dem Weg durch die Ortschaft kommt man ebenfalls an der  ehemaligen Zehntscheune, dem ehemaligen Schulhaus, sowie am ehemaligen Gasthaus und Brauerei "Alte Post" vorbei. Schottenstein Zusätzlich sind auf dem Weg durch den Ort sehenswert die ehemalige Schottensteiner Mühle, das untere Schloss sowie die Obere und Untere Schule. Schenkenau Die Dreiflügelige Anlage des ehemaligen Schlosses und der Mühle stammt aus der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts und wird heute unter anderem als Ferienhof genutzt.
