In Abtsroda startest du mit einem steilen Aufstieg am Nordhang der Wasserkuppe. Auf dem Gipfel der Wasserkuppe liegt das markante Radom, einst Teil einer Überwachungsstation aus dem Kalten Krieg. Im Deutschen Segelflugmuseum erfährst du alles über die Geschichte des „Bergs der Flieger“. Anschließend lädt die mineralreiche Fuldaquelle mit Blick auf artenreiche Bergwiesen zum Innehalten ein.  Von dort aus führt der Weg in das Rote Moor. Ein hölzerner Bohlenpfad führt durch das urwüchsige Hochmoor mit seinen schlanken Karpatenbirken und Feuchtwiesen.  Auf der Höhe des Roten Moores wird der Verlauf des HOCHRHÖNERs verlassen. Durch die romantische Kaskadenschlucht laufen wir in die kleine Rhönstadt Gersfeld. Dort warten in historischer Marktplatz, das Schloss, ein Wildpark und vieles mehr an Attraktionen. In Abtsroda, you start with a steep ascent on the northern slope of the Wasserkuppe. At the summit of the Wasserkuppe stands the distinctive radome, once part of a Cold War surveillance station. In the German Gliding Museum, you can learn all about the history of the "Mountain of the Flyers". Afterwards, the mineral-rich Fulda spring invites you to pause with a view over species-rich mountain meadows.  From there, the path leads into the Red Moor. A wooden boardwalk takes you through the primeval raised bog with its slender Carpathian birches and wet meadows.  At the height of the Red Moor, the route of the HOCHRHÖNER is left. Through the romantic cascade gorge, we walk into the small Rhön town of Gersfeld. There you will find the historic market square, the castle, a wildlife park, and many other attractions. À Abtsroda, vous commencez par une forte montée sur le versant nord du Wasserkuppe. Au sommet du Wasserkuppe se trouve le radome marquant, autrefois partie d’une station de surveillance de la guerre froide. Au Musée allemand du vol à voile, vous apprendrez tout sur l’histoire de la „montagne des aviateurs“. Ensuite, la source minérale riche de la Fulda vous invite à faire une pause avec vue sur les prairies de montagne riches en espèces  .  De là, le chemin mène à la tourbière rouge. Une passerelle en bois traverse la tourbière sauvage avec ses bouleaux des Carpates élancés et ses prairies humides.  Au niveau de la tourbière rouge, le parcours du HOCHRHÖNER est quitté. À travers la gorge romantique de la cascade, nous marchons dans la petite ville rhöner de Gersfeld. Là-bas, sur la place historique du marché, le château, un parc animalier et bien d’autres attractions vous attendent. Un grand merci à tous les soutiens pour l’anniversaire !
