Between 1749 and the 1880s, stoneware was produced in Römershag, near Fulda. Potters from the Kannenbäckerland region made clay bottles here for bottling the healing water at the state spa. In addition, as a sideline, they produced numerous ceramic vessels in various shapes and sizes, which were used primarily for storing food.About twenty years later, jug production also took off in Oberbach, near Würzburg. Zwischen 1749 und den 1880er Jahren wurde im fuldischen Römershag Steinzeug gefertigt. Krugbäcker aus dem Kannenbäckerland stellten hier Tonflaschen für die Abfüllung des Heilwassers im Staatsbad her. Darüber hinaus entstanden im Nebenerwerb zahlreiche keramische Gefäße in unterschiedlichen Formen und Größen, die vor allem zur Aufbewahrung von Lebensmitteln dienten. Rund zwanzig Jahre später entwickelte sich auch im würzburgischen Oberbach eine Krugproduktion. Von dort aus wurden unter anderem die Heilbäder in Bocklet und Kissingen beliefert.
