About: Oelsen

Oelsen ist ein Ortsteil der Gemeinde Krölpa im thüringischen Saale-Orla-Kreis. In der Nähe des Ortes liegt der Clythenberg mit dem Clythenloch. In zwei Höhlen fand man eine Vielzahl Kulturhinterlassenschaften, die aus der Altsteinzeit und der Völkerwanderungszeit stammen. Auffallend waren die Knochen vieler Jungtiere. Es soll eine Kultstätte gewesen sein.

Oelsen est un quartier de la commune de Krölpa, dans le district de Saale-Orla en Thuringe. A proximité de la localité se trouve le Clythenberg avec le Clythenloch. Dans deux grottes, on a trouvé un grand nombre de vestiges culturels datant du paléolithique et de l'époque des migrations. Les os de nombreux jeunes animaux étaient remarquables. Il s'agirait d'un lieu de culte.

Oelsen is a district of the municipality of Krölpa in the Saale-Orla district of Thuringia. The Clythenberg with the Clythenloch is located near the village. A large number of cultural remains dating back to the Palaeolithic and the Migration Period were found in two caves. The bones of many young animals were striking. It is said to have been a place of worship.
