Eckstedt est une commune du district de Sömmerda en Thuringe. La commune fait partie de la communauté administrative de Gramme-Vippach, dont le siège administratif se trouve dans la commune de Schloßvippach. Les premières mentions dans les documents remontent à 874, 900 et 1101. Une copie d'un document de Hesse est toutefois confirmée et mentionne le village le 11 novembre 1191. Dans ce document, le monastère bénédictin de Kreuzberg près de Philipsthal a.d. Werra se voit confirmer, entre autres, des possessions à "Eckstedter". Des objets trouvés dans les champs environnants attestent que le peuplement de la région a commencé plus tôt. On a par exemple découvert quelques tombes datant d'environ 1500 avant notre ère.

Eckstedt is a municipality in the district of Sömmerda in Thuringia. The municipality belongs to the administrative community of Gramme-Vippach, which has its administrative headquarters in the municipality of Schloßvippach. References to the first documentary mention range from the year 874 to 900 and 1101. However, a copy of a document from Hesse in which the village is mentioned on 11.11.1191 is confirmed. In the document, the Benedictine monastery Kreuzberg near Philipsthal a.d. Werra is confirmed to have possessions in "Eckstedter". Findings from the surrounding fields prove that the settlement of the area began even earlier, for example some graves from around 1500 BC were found.

Eckstedt ist eine Gemeinde im Landkreis Sömmerda in Thüringen. Die Gemeinde gehört der Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Gramme-Vippach an, die ihren Verwaltungssitz in der Gemeinde Schloßvippach hat. Hinweise auf die erste urkundliche Erwähnung reichen vom Jahre 874 über 900 bis 1101. Bestätigt ist jedoch eine Urkunden Abschrift aus Hessen in dem der Ort am 11.11.1191 erwähnt ist. In der Urkunde werden dem Benediktenkloster Kreuzberg bei Philipsthal a.d. Werra u.a. Besitzungen in "Eckstedter" bestätigt. Dass die Besiedlung des Gebietes schon früher begann, bezeugen Fundstücke aus den umliegenden Fluren, so wurden beispielsweise einige Gräber aus der Zeit um 1500 v.d. Zeitrechnung gefunden.
