Die kunsthistorische Betrachtung der zeitgeschichtlichen Quellen und deren künstlerischer Verarbeitung im Monumentalgemälde durch Werner Tübke bilden das Zentrum der Ausstellung. Ausgewählte historische Werke (Bilder und Texte) werden unter kunsthistorischen Gesichtspunkten betrachtet und in ihrer Bedeutung analysiert, wobei der zeithistorische Bezug der Werke in ihrer Zusammenschau und Verknüpfung die Möglichkeit zu einer authentischen Widerspiegelung der künstlerischen und geistigen Veränderungs-Prozesse (Bildwelt– Weltbild) an der Wende vom Spätmittelalter zur frühen Neuzeit bietet.
L'examen historique et artistique des sources de l'histoire contemporaine et leur traitement artistique dans la peinture monumentale de Werner Tübke constituent le centre de l'exposition. Des œuvres historiques sélectionnées (images et textes) sont examinées sous l'angle de l'histoire de l'art et analysées dans leur signification. La référence à l'histoire contemporaine des œuvres offre, dans leur ensemble et leur mise en relation, la possibilité d'un reflet authentique des processus de changement artistiques et spirituels (monde de l'image - vision du monde) au tournant de la fin du Moyen Âge et du début des Temps modernes.
The art-historical examination of contemporary historical sources and their artistic treatment in the monumental painting by Werner Tübke form the center of the exhibition. Selected historical works (paintings and texts) are examined from an art-historical point of view and analyzed in terms of their significance, whereby the contemporary historical reference of the works in their synopsis and combination offers the possibility of an authentic reflection of the artistic and intellectual processes of change (pictorial world-world view) at the turn from the late Middle Ages to the early modern period.
