Die erst 1906 hergestellte Marktpforte verbindet die historische Altstadt mit der Bachstraße und den dahinter liegenden neu entstandenen Stadtteilen. Früher führten sie durch das Gebäude des Restaurants "Fürstenkeller". 1995 wurde der Komplex komplett erneuert und der Durchgang direkt "über" die Stadtmauer in den Neubau einbezogen.
