la capitale mondiale du jouet. Le musée a été fondé dès 1901. Aujourd’hui, c’est le plus ancien musée du jouet d’Allemagne et il présente plus de 6 000 pièces, allant des poupées aux voitures en passant par les locomotives à vapeur.
À ne pas manquer : la
troupe de marionnettes « Thüringer Kirmes », avec ses personnages en papier mâché parfois grandeur nature, attirait déjà les foules lors de l'Exposition universelle de 1910 à Bruxelles.
