La rénovation complète de ce qui est probablement le plus ancien bâtiment de Bad Dürrenberg a été achevée en 2015. Les étages supérieurs achevés abritent l'auberge "Altes Salzamt". Après les travaux, les étages inférieurs seront à nouveau utilisés comme bureau d'état civil. Pendant les travaux de rénovation, des parties anciennes et parfois inconnues du bâtiment ont été mises à jour, notamment un four en pierre bien conservé datant du 15e siècle. Le four, les anciens tonneaux voûtés du bâtiment, les objets trouvés et les témoignages de l'époque peuvent être visités dans le cadre d'une visite guidée, à réserver auprès de l'office de tourisme.
The extensive renovation of what is probably the oldest building in Bad Dürrenberg was completed in 2015. The completed upper floors are now home to the "Altes Salzamt" hostel. The lower floors will be used as a registry office again after the construction work. During the renovation work, old and partly unknown parts of the building were uncovered, including a well-preserved stone oven from the 15th century. The baking oven, the building's old vaulted barrels, artefacts and contemporary artefacts can be viewed as part of a guided tour, which can be booked through the tourist information office.
Die umfassende Sanierung des vermutlich ältesten Gebäudes Bad Dürrenbergs wurde 2015 abgeschlossen. In den fertig gestellten oberen Etagen befindet sich das Hostel "Altes Salzamt". Die unteren Etagen werden, nach den Baumaßnahmen, wieder als Standesamt genutzt. Während der Sanierungsarbeiten sind alte und teilweise unbekannte Gebäudeteile freigelegt worden, so auch ein gut erhaltener Steinbackofen aus dem 15. Jahrhundert. Der Backofen, die alten Gewölbetonnen des Gebäudes, Fundstücke und Zeitzeugnisse können im Rahmen einer Führung besichtigt werden, buchbar über die Touristinformation.
