Friedrichrodas Ortsteil Cumbach wurde in den 1950er Jahren zu Ernstroda eingemeindet. Die idyllischen Cumbacher Teiche wurden vermutlich schon im Mittelalter angelegt, um das Kloster Reinhardsbrunn mit Fisch zu versorgen. Hier kann man wunderbar die Natur genießen, spazieren gehen und Tiere beobachten.
