About: Kranichborn

Kranichborn est un village idyllique de Thuringe centrale (à environ 178 m d'altitude), situé à 5 km au sud de Sömmerda et à 15 km au nord-est d'Erfurt. Depuis 1974, il fait partie de Großrudestedt. La première mention date de 1233. Il s'agissait autrefois d'un village de propriété qui a transformé en 2010 sa maison de maître en maison communale. L'église du village St. Gallus, un monument naturel (vieux chêne avec pierre commémorative de 1913) et des reliques de l'installation radio de la NVA sur la colline de Kranichborn valent le détour.

Kranichborn is an idyllic village in central Thuringia (approx. 178 m above sea level), 5 km south of Sömmerda and 15 km north-east of Erfurt, a district of Großrudestedt since 1974. It was first mentioned in 1233. It was once an estate village that converted its manor house into a village community center in 2010. Worth seeing are the village church of St. Gallus, a natural monument (an old oak tree with a memorial stone from 1913) and relics of the NVA radio station on Kranichborn Hill.

Kranichborn ist ein idyllisches Dorf in Mittelthüringen (ca. 178 m ü. NN), 5 km südlich von Sömmerda und 15 km nordöstlich von Erfurt, seit 1974 Ortsteil von Großrudestedt. Erste Erwähnung stammt von 1233. Es war einst ein Gutsdorf, das 2010 sein Herrenhaus zum Dorfgemeinschaftshaus umbaute. Sehenswert sind die Dorfkirche St. Gallus, ein Naturdenkmal (alte Eiche mit Gedenkstein von 1913) und Relikte der NVA‑Funkanlage auf dem Kranichborner Hügel.
