Avec ses 70 habitants, Storchsdorf est le deuxième plus petit et l'un des plus hauts villages de l'ancienne municipalité unifiée de Rottenbach, aujourd'hui la ville de Königsee. Il est mentionné pour la première fois en 1411 dans la liste des biens appartenant à Blankenburg. En 1950, Storchsdorf, qui comptait alors 103 habitants, a été intégré à Rottenbach, avec lequel il était déjà étroitement lié par le passé. Il reste encore quelques terrains à bâtir dans la nouvelle zone de développement, avec une vue magnifique sur la forêt de Thuringe. Un grand nombre de sentiers de randonnée permettent de faire des excursions à travers les forêts vers les villages environnants tels que Solsdorf, Leutnitz, Quittelsdorf, Rottenbach (avec un bain de forêt) et Paulinzella (avec les ruines d'un monastère et deux musées), où vous pourrez profiter du calme et de la beauté de la forêt.

Erstmals wurde er im Jahre 1411 im Verzeichnis der zu Blankenburg gehörenden Besitzungen erwähnt. 1950 wurde Storchsdorf, in dem zu diesem Zeitpunkt 103 Einwohner lebten, nach Rottenbach eingemeindet, mit dem es schon in der Vergangenheit eng verknüpft war. In dem Neubaugebiet mit herrlichem Blick zum Thüringer Wald stehen noch wenige Bauplätze zur Verfügung. Eine Vielzahl von Wanderwegen ermöglichen den Ausflug durch die Wälder in die umliegenden Orte wie Solsdorf, Leutnitz, Quittelsdorf, Rottenbach (mit Waldbad) und Paulinzella (mit Klosterruine und zwei Museen), wo man die Ruhe und Schönheit des Waldes genießen kann.

It was first mentioned in 1411 in the list of properties belonging to Blankenburg.
