Depuis 2013 - après plus de 12 ans de restauration - la ferme Eulensteinsche Hof à Hohlstedt brille à nouveau de mille feux. Pourtant, en 2000, la plus ancienne ferme de Thuringe n'était pas au mieux de sa forme. Des toits endommagés, des dégâts dus à l'humidité, une construction en bois défectueuse, des fenêtres non étanches et la menace d'un effondrement du bâtiment construit en 1599 faisaient douter de sa remise en état. Une association de soutien spécialement créée à cet effet a cependant acheté la ferme à trois côtés en 2001 et a commencé à la rénover. La fondation allemande pour la protection des monuments a également soutenu le projet et a pu, après un appel aux dons, soutenir financièrement la restauration de la maison d'habitation-étable. Aujourd'hui, la ferme historique est sauvée et avec elle, la réalisation de grande qualité et intéressante du point de vue de l'histoire de la construction. La façade à colombages très élaborée et la pièce en madriers, qui n'existe pratiquement plus aujourd'hui, sont remarquables. À l'époque de sa construction, il s'agissait de la seule pièce chauffée et non enfumée d'une maison. Aujourd'hui, l'Eulensteinsche Hof sert de lieu de culture et de rencontre. Outre des expositions à caractère régional, des manifestations sont organisées dans le jardin reconstruit.
Seit 2013 – nach über 12 Jahren Restaurierung – erstrahlt der Eulensteinsche Hof in Hohlstedt wieder in neuem Glanz. Dabei stand es im Jahr 2000 noch schlecht um den ältesten Bauernhof Thüringens. Schadhafte Dächer, Feuchtigkeitsschäden, eine mangelhafte Holzkonstruktion, undichte Fenster und ein drohender Einsturz des 1599 errichteten Gebäudes ließen an der Instandsetzung zweifeln. Ein eigens gegründeter Förderverein kaufte den Dreiseitenhof im Jahr 2001 jedoch und begann mit der Sanierung. Auch die Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz unterstützte das Vorhaben und konnte nach einem Spendenaufruf die Restaurierung des Wohnstallhauses finanziell fördern. Heute ist der historische Hof gerettet und damit auch die baugeschichtlich interessante und qualitativ hochwertige Ausführung. Bemerkenswert ist dabei die aufwändig gestaltete Fachwerkfassade sowie die heute kaum noch existierende Bohlenstube. Zur Erbauungszeit war dies der einzig beheizbare und zugleich rauchfreie Raum eines Hauses. Heute dient der Eulensteinsche Hof als Kultur- und Begegnungsstätte. Neben Ausstellungen mit einem regionalen Bezug finden auch Veranstaltungen in dem rekonstruierten Garten statt.
Since 2013 - after more than 12 years of restoration - the Eulenstein farm in Hohlstedt has shone in new splendor. In 2000, things were still looking bad for the oldest farm in Thuringia. Damaged roofs, moisture damage, a faulty timber construction, leaking windows and the threat of collapse of the building, which was erected in 1599, cast doubt on the restoration. However, a specially founded support association bought the three-sided courtyard in 2001 and began renovating it. The German Foundation for Monument Protection also supported the project and was able to fund the restoration of the stable house following an appeal for donations. Today, the historic courtyard has been saved and with it the interesting and high-quality construction. The elaborately designed half-timbered façade and the timber-framed parlor, which barely exists today, are remarkable. At the time it was built, this was the only room in the house that could be heated and was also smoke-free. Today, the Eulensteinsche Hof serves as a cultural and meeting place. In addition to exhibitions with a regional focus, events are also held in the reconstructed garden.
