The most important, however, are our guests. We offer an up-and-coming region that is sustainable, open and accessible, offering recreation, creativity and interaction. Together with Thüringer Tourismus GmbH, we are working on the implementation of the state tourism strategy. In 2020, the "Team Tourism Weimarer Land" was formed. Here, the association and the district office work closely together to cover the diverse cross-sectional tasks of tourism, including tourism business, infrastructure development, investor support and the large field of professional marketing. To achieve this, it is necessary to abandon dusty decision-making processes and to make cooperation actually tangible across organisational boundaries. This striving has led in the past years to an increase of the admittingness in Germany, to a constant rise of the guest numbers and to more professionalization of our work.
