About: Förderkreis Schlossanlage Wilhelmsthal e.V.

Der Verein Förderkreis Schlossanlage Wilhelmsthal e.V. wurde im Frühsommer 1997 gegründet. Ziel war es, die einstige Sommerresidenz des Weimarer Hofes – bestehend aus Park- und Schlossanlage – zu revitalisieren. Nach dem Ende der DDR, seit Anfang der 90er-Jahre des 20. Jahrhunderts, waren große Teile der Anlage verwaist. Ergebnis dessen war das Dahinsiechen einer einst stolzen, belebten und durchgängig bewirtschafteten Park- und Schlossanlage. Der besorgniserregende Zustand des Anwesens und die Tatenlosigkeit des damaligen Eigentümers, dem Freistaat Thüringen, war Anlass dafür, Menschen unterschiedlichster Berufe und sozialer Schichten in diesem Verein auf den Plan zu rufen und zu organisieren, um auf das Siechtum des einstigen Kleinods aufmerksam zu machen. Seitdem hatten die Mitglieder bis 2009 einen ungleichen Kampf gegen die Zeit, Behörden, Bürokratie und Ignoranz geführt, um dem unausweichlichen Schicksal der historischen Park- und Schlossanlage entgegenzuwirken. 2008 übernahm die Stiftung Thüringer Schlösser und Gärten endlich die Liegenschaft als neue Eigentümerin. Seitdem unterstützt und fördert der Förderkreis Schlossanlage Wilhelmsthal e.V. alle Maßnahmen, welche der Anlage schrittweise zu neuer Schönheit und neuem Leben verhelfen. Der Verein arbeitet hierbei mit der Eigentümerin Hand in Hand. Auch mit anderen Vereinen und Veranstaltern sucht man den Schulterschluss in „Sachen“ Wilhelmsthal. Die Vereinsmitglieder haben mit ihrem unermüdlichen Wirken bewiesen, dass man mit gutem Willen, leidenschaftlichem Engagement und aktivem Handeln bewirken kann, der Schlossanlage wieder Leben einzuhauchen und Wege in eine Zukunft zu bahnen. Wilhelmsthal war und ist „zu schön, um zu verstummen“.

En 2008, la fondation "Thüringer Schlösser und Gärten" a finalement repris le bien immobilier en tant que nouveau propriétaire. Depuis, l'association de promotion du château de Wilhelmsthal (Förderkreis Schlossanlage Wilhelmsthal e.V.) soutient et encourage toutes les mesures qui contribuent progressivement à redonner au site une nouvelle beauté et une nouvelle vie. L'association travaille main dans la main avec le propriétaire. Elle cherche également à s'associer avec d'autres associations et organisateurs pour "défendre" Wilhelmsthal.
