La gare culturelle de Meuselwitz se trouve entre Zeitz et Altenburg. Un trajet à bord du train historique à charbon est une expérience unique. Il circule en partie sur les voies de l'ancien train minier qui transportait autrefois le charbon brut vers les usines à briquettes. Le musée situé dans la gare culturelle présente de nombreuses pièces exposées consacrées à l'exploitation régionale du lignite. On peut notamment y voir des installations techniques, des documents et des trains historiques, ainsi qu'une exposition de trains miniatures dans le bâtiment administratif. Musée technique Le terrain de l'association de la gare de Meuselwitz et le hangar à locomotives abritent une multitude de trains, d'appareils, d'installations et d'objets exposés issus de plus d'un siècle d'histoire de l'exploitation minière et du chemin de fer. Grâce à l'engagement bénévole de ses membres, l'association contribue à la préservation de ces témoignages et permet de découvrir de manière vivante l'histoire de l'exploitation du lignite et du chemin de fer. Exposition de trains miniatures – L'histoire en miniature Les villes et villages situés le long de la ligne ferroviaire Meuselwitz-Altenburg sont représentés à petite échelle avec de nombreux détails typiques du trajet. Les trains en mouvement et les modèles mobiles illustrant « De l'extraction du lignite à la transformation » dans la salle Espenhain constituent un point fort particulier.

The Meuselwitz Cultural Railway Station is located between Zeitz and Altenburg. A trip on the historic coal railway is a unique experience. Part of the route runs on the tracks of the former mine railway, which used to transport raw coal to the briquette factories. The museum located in the Kulturbahnhof has many exhibits relating to regional lignite mining. Among other things, technical equipment, documents and historic trains can be viewed, as well as a model railway exhibition in the administration building. Technical museum The association's premises at Meuselwitz station and in the locomotive shed house a large number of trains, equipment, installations and exhibits from over a century of mining and railway history. With great voluntary commitment, the association contributes to the preservation of these artefacts and brings the history of lignite mining and the railway to life. Model railway exhibition – history in miniature Cities and villages along the Meuselwitz–Altenburg railway line are depicted in miniature with numerous typical route details. A particular highlight is the train operation and moving models depicting ‘From lignite mining to refinement’ in the Espenhain room.

Zwischen Zeitz und Altenburg liegt der Kulturbahnhof Meuselwitz. Eine Fahrt mit der historischen Kohlebahn ist ein einzigartiges Erlebnis. Dabei fährt diese zum Teil auf den Gleisen der ehemaligen Grubenbahn, welche früher die Rohkohle zu den Brikettfabriken transportierte. Das im Kulturbahnhof gelegene Museum umfasst viele Exponate, die sich rund um den regionalen Braunkohlebergbau drehen. Unter anderem können technische Anlagen, Dokumente und historische Züge sowie eine Modelleisenbahnausstellung im Verwaltungsgebäude besichtigt werden. Technisches Museum Auf dem Vereinsgelände des Meuselwitzer Bahnhofs sowie im Lokschuppen befindet sich eine Vielzahl von Zügen, Geräten, Anlagen und Exponaten aus der über hundertjährigen Geschichte des Bergbaus und der Eisenbahn. Mit großem ehrenamtlichem Engagement trägt der Verein zum Erhalt dieser Zeugnisse bei und macht die Geschichte des Braunkohlebergbaus und der Eisenbahn anschaulich erlebbar. Modellbahnausstellung – Geschichte im Kleinformat In Kleinspur werden Städte und Dörfer entlang der Bahnstrecke Meuselwitz–Altenburg mit zahlreichen typischen Streckendetails dargestellt. Ein besonderer Höhepunkt sind der Fahrbetrieb sowie bewegliche Modelle mit der Darstellung „Von der Braunkohlegewinnung bis zur Veredelung“ im Raum Espenhain.
