About: Wehnde

Die Gemeinde Wehnde liegt am Westhang des Ohmgebirges und wurde im Jahre 1238 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. Auf der Wanderroute von Duderstadt zur Burg Bodenstein befindet sich der 14 Meter hohe Turm der Wehnder Warte, welcher über eine Aussichtsplattform verfügt. Auch sehenswert ist die kleine idyllisch gelegene evangelische Kirche sowie der dazugehörige Altar und die Deckenbemalung in der Kirche.

La commune de Wehnde est située sur le versant ouest du massif de l'Ohm et a été mentionnée pour la première fois dans des documents en 1238. Sur la route de randonnée de Duderstadt au château de Bodenstein se trouve la tour de 14 mètres de haut de la Wehnder Warte, qui dispose d'une plate-forme d'observation. La petite église protestante, située dans un cadre idyllique, vaut également le détour, tout comme l'autel et le plafond peints qui s'y trouvent.

The community of Wehnde is located on the western slope of the Ohm Mountains and was first mentioned in a document in 1238. On the hiking route from Duderstadt to Bodenstein Castle is the 14-meter high tower of the Wehnder Warte, which has a viewing platform.
