Neumannsgrund ist ein Ortsteil von Neuhaus am Rennweg süd-westlich der Kernstadt gelegen. In einem engen Tal, durchzogen von der goldführenden und weithin bekannten "Grümpen" wohnen hier heute weniger als 30 Leute.
Im 18. Jahrhundert entstanden entlang des kleinen Flusses mehrere Mühlenanlagen. Neben der Bedeutung durch den Goldbergbau, spielte auch die Verarbeitung von Holz, das Gerben von Leder oder die Produktion von Murmeln eine Rolle.
Touristisch interessant ist die Lage am "Goldpfad" mit welchen sich die Geschichte und das Leben hier vor einigen hundert Jahren erforschen lässt. Noch heute kommen beinahe täglich Goldwäscher aus nah und fern zum Goldwaschen hier vorbei.
Der Gasthof "Thomas Müntzer" bietet hierfür, oder für Wanderungen in Richtung Rennsteig einen passenden Ausgangsort.

Neumannsgrund est un quartier de Neuhaus am Rennweg situé au sud-ouest du centre-ville. Moins de 30 personnes y habitent aujourd'hui dans une vallée étroite, traversée par la rivière "Grümpen", riche en or et connue loin à la ronde.
Au 18e siècle, plusieurs moulins ont été construits le long de la petite rivière. Outre l'importance due à l'extraction de l'or, le traitement du bois, le tannage du cuir ou la production de billes jouaient également un rôle.
La situation sur le "sentier de l'or", qui permet d'explorer l'histoire et la vie d'il y a quelques centaines d'années, est intéressante sur le plan touristique. Aujourd'hui encore, des orpailleurs venus de près ou de loin viennent presque tous les jours y chercher de l'or.
L'auberge "Thomas Müntzer" est un point de départ idéal pour ces activités ou pour des randonnées en direction du Rennsteig.
