The municipality lies at an altitude of 368 meters above sea level on the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest in the Weißbachtal valley. Lengfeld gehört zur Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Feldstein und ist bekannt für seine idyllische Lage und die umgebende Natur. Die Geschichte von Lengfeld reicht weit zurück.
