In the heart of Teutleben stands the oldest church in the rural community, whose well-preserved Romanesque architecture dates back to the 12th century. The baptismal font, made from a single block of stone, bears the inscription "ANNO 1586 DEN 9. JULI". Unique in Thuringia is the plaster screed with model embossing on the gallery, which probably dates back to the time of construction. Plant and animal motifs adorn the stone gallery. The wooden altar was last painted in 1858. Romantic, late Gothic and Baroque elements characterize the exterior appearance of the church in Teutleben"
Im Herzen von Teutleben erhebt sich die älteste Kirche der Landgemeinde, deren gut erhaltener romanischer Baustil auf das 12. Jahrhundert hinweist. Der Taufstein, gefertigt aus einem einzigen Steinblock, trägt die Inschrift "ANNO 1586 DEN 9. JULI". Einzigartig in Thüringen ist der Gipsestrich mit Modellprägung auf der Empore, der vermutlich aus der Zeit der Erbauung stammt. Pflanzliche und tierische Motive zieren die steinerne Empore. Der hölzerne Altar wurde zuletzt im Jahr 1858 bemalt. Romantische, spätgotische und barocke Elemente prägen das äußere Erscheinungsbild der Kirche in Teutleben.
