About: Fête de la Musique Gera, Fête de la Musique Gera

The traditional festival "Fête de la Musique" has found another home in Gera. At the beginning of summer, on June 21th, the largest open-air music festival takes place in Gera's town center for the 9th time. A special highlight this year: the double anniversary Heinrich & Heinrich. On the occasion of the 350th anniversary of the death of the composer Heinrich Schütz as well as the 450th birthday of the sovereign Heinrich II Posthumus Reuß, a rich cultural program will be organised including a Heinrich themed special programme at the Fête de la Musique. In the Salvator Church a musical competition will focus on the work of the famous composer Heinrich Schütz.

Der Sommer klingt an. Das traditionsreiche Fest „Fête de la Musique“ hat auch in Gera eine Heimat gefunden. Zum Sommerbeginn am 21. Juni findet das größte Open-Air Musikfest zum 11. Mal in Geras Innenstadt statt. Das Programm reicht von Drehorgel- und Chormusik über Folk, Blues, Pop bis hin zu House, Techno und Metal.
