Röppisch est un petit village touristique de 222 habitants situé à 500 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer. Il est particulièrement apprécié pour sa proximité avec le lac artificiel de Bleiloch (à environ 800 m), où de nombreuses maisons de week-end sont construites dans la baie de Röppisch, dans une région boisée idyllique et pittoresque. Un terrain de camping permanent est également disponible. Deux restaurants du village vous invitent à faire une pause agréable. Des appartements de vacances bien équipés sont à la disposition des visiteurs. Depuis Röppisch, vous pouvez faire des randonnées reposantes sur le sentier Ewigkeitsweg jusqu'à Isabellengrün ou jusqu'au barrage du lac artificiel Bleilochstausee. Le sentier Ewigkeitsweg tire son nom du fait qu'il faut contourner chaque baie. Röppisch compte parmi les plus anciennes colonies de l'Oberland. Sa fondation remonte à la période comprise entre 600 et 850. La disposition du village (village circulaire) et son nom prouvent qu'il s'agit d'une colonie d'origine sorabe. Les fermes se caractérisent par leurs portes d'entrée, dont les battants sont souvent ornés dans leur partie supérieure d'un soleil levant et de ses rayons. Dans certaines fermes, on peut encore aujourd'hui reconnaître l'ancienne architecture. L'église de style roman est l'une des plus anciennes de l'ancien district de Lobenstein et constitue un monument historique de grande valeur. Aujourd'hui, des espaces verts fleuris embellissent le village. Röppisch a ainsi pu se classer parmi les premiers lors du concours organisé en 1995 par le district de Saale-Orla sous le slogan « Notre village doit devenir plus beau ».

Röppisch is a small holiday village with 222 inhabitants, located 500 m above sea level. The village is particularly popular due to its proximity to the Bleiloch reservoir (approx. 800 m away), where numerous weekend cottages are located in an idyllic, scenic forest area at Röppisch Bay. There is also a permanent campsite. Two local restaurants invite you to stop for a bite to eat. Well-equipped vacation apartments are available for guests. From Röppisch, you can enjoy relaxing hikes along the Ewigkeitsweg trail to Isabellengrün or to the dam wall of the Bleiloch reservoir. The Ewigkeitsweg (Eternity Trail) gets its name from the fact that every bay has to be bypassed. Röppisch is one of the oldest settlements in the Oberland. It was founded between 600 and 850. The village layout (circular village) and the name prove that it is a settlement of Sorbian origin. Typical of the farmstead architecture are the numerous house gates, whose upper sections are decorated with images of the rising sun and its rays. In some farmhouses, we can still see the old architectural style today. The Romanesque church is one of the oldest in the former district of Lobenstein and is a historical monument of great historical value. Today, green spaces with flowers adorn the village. As a result, Röppisch was able to take a top place in the 1995 district competition of the Saale-Orla district, "Our village should become more beautiful."

Röppisch ist ein 222 Einwohner zählendes, 500 m über dem Meeresspiegel liegendes kleines Urlauberdorf. Beliebt ist der Ort besonders wegen der Nähe des Bleilochstausees (Entfernung ca. 800 m), wo an der Röppischer Bucht zahlreiche Wochenendhäuschen in einer idyllisch, landschaftlich reizvollen Waldgegend stehen. Ein Dauerzeltplatz ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Zwei Gaststätten des Ortes laden zur gemütlichen Einkehr ein. Den Gästen stehen gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnungen zur Verfügung. Von Röppisch aus sind erholsame Wanderungen auf dem Ewigkeitsweg nach Isabellengrün oder zur Sperrmauer des Bleilochstausees möglich. Die Bezeichnung des Ewigkeitsweges kommt daher, weil jede Bucht umgangen werden muss. Röppisch zählt zu den ältesten Ansiedlungen im Oberland. Die Gründung fällt in die Zeit von 600 bis 850. Die Dorfanlage (Runddorf) und der Name beweisen, dass es sich um eine Siedlung sorbischen Ursprungs handelt. Typisch für die Bauweise der Gehöfte sind vielfach anzutreffende Haustore, deren Torflügel in ihrem oberen Teil die aufgehende Sonne mit ihren Strahlen als Verzierung darstellt. In manchen Bauernhäusern können wir heute noch die alte Bauweise erkennen. Die im romanischen Stil erbaute Kirche ist eine der ältesten im ehemaligen Kreis Lobenstein und als Baudenkmal von hohem geschichtlichem Wert. Heute schmücken Grünanlagen mit Blumen den Ort. So konnte Röppisch 1995 im Kreiswettbewerb des Saale-Orla-Kreises „Unser Dorf soll schöner werden“ einen vorderen Platz belegen.
